Aww so beautiful. I love interacting with any animal. DJ has no idea how pampered and safe that he is. So many are poached in the wild. Rhinos and hippos are my favorites of the big critters.

What a beautiful animal. Here in Michigan in the USA Spring is almost here. It hit 73 today and the American Robins and Northern Cardinals are very noisy! But I love it and don't mind a bit! Take good care

Love what you're doing at the Australia Zoo to help mitigate the poaching of these beautiful and important animals. Countries in Asia need to enact sustained efforts to educate those who still are ruled by superstitious beliefs that Rhino horns have medicinal benefits, and other foolish notions unbecoming of modern humans.

Because Rhino are not very agressive, they have just bad eyesight and charge if they feel threatened. They are more like big puppies if they trust their keepers. Zebra are the polar opposite tho.

I had the pleasure of spending time with DJ back in July 2020, it was the most unbelievable awesome experience. J was stunned by his massive body. You don't see it in videos, but in real life this guy is huge. It would take at least 10 of me at 100kgs each, to have any chance at a tug of war competition, more likely 20 of me 🤣🤣 If you haven't had a close encounter with DJ, u must do it if you're visiting Australia zoo

DJ is the rhino ambassador. When people see him the message is getting out to save the rhinos from extinction. This is why we have Australia Zoo, this is why we have The Irwins, this is why we have the Mambas, and this is why Crocodile Hunter made it is life's goal to save the worlds wildlife from extinction. Rhinos are on the endangered list and they are listed as threatened because each year poachers end up shooting them and selling their horns, tusk, and hides on the black market. We need to stop the poachers and we need to save the rhinos. Support the Irwins, The Mambas, and Conservation DO NOT BUY IVORY!
