Actually, it would be 25 seconds. The fall was 10,000 feet long. But that 10,000-foot freefall was secured the moment his foot got snagged in the balloons. However, that still makes the timing inaccurate.

Each other them are dark in their own reason, maybe except Ernesto, I found his death to be more funny then dark, but I feel that Muntz's death was different, you actually see him fall to his death at a great height, while most Pixar deaths are more off-screen and quick, but with Muntz, you see the look of life leave his eyes, as a simple yell as he falls, with a dark orchestra blasting a brief sound as he falls and then dies down. It's a death that's simple but realistic, as it wasn't caused any of the protagonists, but him, as we watch as a once, respected adventurer turned to a lost and broken old man, letting his obsession be the death of himself. And I feel that makes for a very dark death
