Call the aviation version: Flyin High With Stevie Fast. The airplane video was cool, keep mixing those in! Most of us are like you, we like any/all forms of drag racing. Two old grandmas with hopped up electric scooters? I got $5 on the granny in the left lane! Prep, no prep, gravel parking lots, name it and most of us like it. Most of us also "get it" when you talk a little trash. It's meant to build rivalries and interest within drag racing. Keep doin what your doin brother!

Take a look at turbo John channel. He's putting in work and winning with his pos Mustang. A lot of winning is being willing to put in the work to learn your combination. I used to consistently beat guys that spent 3 times or more on their cars because they didn't bother putting in the work. Now I was just winning rounds not races......but eventually you'll get there. Another channel winning on a budget is the SRC garage crew. The old man gives tons of great information and they use a carburetor on a old small block. The information is out there if you're willing to do the work.

Knowledge hasn’t been near the issue as the financial impact of trying to compete. I stretch everything I have to it’s limits. But being a 1 income family with 2 kids it’s tough. Doesn’t stop me from trying my all everyday. Get home from work an thrash & test, thrash an test. It’s hard for nitrous sbc to compete with the new computerized turbo stuff. Some of those guys have more in their computer & sensor set ups than I do in my shortblock lol. But I do it because I LOVE the sport of drag racing! Thanks for the info.

@@BenBurke1983 sorry for the long post...... But trust me I know the struggle all too well and my truck sat for 5 years when I was trying to get my business off the ground. The only racing I did then was working as crew\ driving the rig for a guy I knew and that's because I was getting paid a little bit. When I stopped working full-time while starting my business I still didn't have money for racing. I was buying,borrowing and begging for used parts and slicks just to run. That turned into a guy I helped would give me a set for mounting and balancing his new tires and I'd get a good weekend or 2 out of them before they'd fade away. It didn't cost me anything to do and saved him time and money by changing them a little sooner. I too had a nitrous small block. But building a low budget turbo setup saved me a ton in the long run. Just between nitrous,spark plugs and E85 instead of race gas eventually paid for itself. At first I ran a blow through carb using parts I scrounged up from my old job wrenching on go fast boats. But E85 was new then and carbs for boost weren't very popular,especially for E85. So I built a early mega-squirt ecu for$3-400 and eventually got it running. For turbos I ran Holset HE351's that Cummins guys were practically giving away. I probably had$500-600 in the initial turbo setup...... But it took 5-6 months to find deals on everything. Now considering I built it around 08 and my air water intercooler was way too small and the ecu was TRASH by even a budget ecu now I managed 904 to the rear wheels while spraying a tiny shot of nos. Without the nitrous it was 780-800 but pig rich because I had to use batch fire. When we tried to lean it out it would be too lean. So instead of fighting the limitations we sprayed with a jet sized for 75 to 100 on a 4cyl 😆. 900whp doesn't sound like much now but it was more than enough for most on the street and quite a few on the track. But thankfully after running one of the guys from Haltec he sorta sponsored me with a decent ecu out the back door 😆 The ecu and injectors netted 1096 hp and about a hundred more on E85. But it was out of turbo and I had the wheels upgraded. I rolled the dice and sent them to some kid starting out called turbo lab America and after$400 we hit 1375whp and that's where I left it for4+ years until I lifted a head and shortened a rod via a small bend 😆 ........ It takes some creativity digging around etc. But you can build a simple fast car for not that much money depending on the type of racing. Granted you won't have the latest greatest turbos etc. But my best 60ft came when I was running cheap Chinese journal bearing turbos that I got super cheap because they were. "Too laggy". But if I wasn't at the track helping I'd have missed the deal. If you don't mind me asking what car do you have? And where are you from? I've got a 8.8 with a spool,Moser axles etc that is setup for a S10 and disc brakes. That I'm looking to get rid of pretty cheap. I've also got a Detroit Trutrac but that's for a mild street setup. I used it for the street instead of a spool on 5-6psi.....anyway good luck and I'm sure you'll find a way

Biggest things I need is transmission cause I’m sure the th350 i have isn’t going to last much longer and it doesn’t even have a brake lol. I’m planning to go turbo LS this winter and I suspect that will be cheaper as you said. I already have the turbo and blow offs. I’ll buy parts a little at a time and suspect I’ll get there someday. Appreciate your story, that’s badass! I bet that car scoots.

Dude Stevie, I Love this idea of Flying Vlogs. I have always said the same thing since I raced sleds....it demands all your attention. Same thing with riding motorcycles or driving these rockets! It's where everything gets quiet. I'm into aviation as well. The only thing I can compare that free feeling while flying, it's similar to riding down a twisty mountain road just you and the rpms.

Is that a Bonanza? Used to fly in one of those a lot. Pretty damn good performance for a single engine piston. The one we had was equipped with the tip tanks and it had more range than I did. I had no desire to be in that airplane for more than a few hours. Looking forward to seeing you get into the no prep. Most of those guys can’t compete. Still gotta ride with the #SWANGANG 💪🏻💪🏻 😂

Lizzy has one of the best in the biz already aka her father Pat Musi also if you listened he said would like to take a non winning car and bring it to the front. Lizzy has the best of the best and it would not be much of a statement to show up with a car of that caliber and win. But it would be a HUGE statement to stomp them in a car that has proven to not be a winning combo like Mr Wayne Smozanek blower car or Boddy Ducote nitrous or even Doc loves new nitrous car.
