I know malayo pa hahabulin ng UP sa ibang schools pero kung ikukumpara mo sa previous years nila malayo na narating nila. Disagree. This is wayyy better than 2015. Siguro nadala ka lang ng creative impact and this one feels plain and light. But from a technical perspective malayo na to. Stunts comparison: 2015: 1. Double cupie x 4 sets (na hindi naman talaga impressive) 2. Toss to prep full twist to full extension x 8 sets (even nung time na yun hindi na yun impressive. Full extension na labanan nun pa man). May isang stunt group pa dun na di naiangat yung flyer. Tapos pop off dismount na which is weird. Then 2 counts to get to full extension, at an era na pakontian na ng counts to full extension hold. 3. Rewinds x 9 sets then lifted to full extension. Yes that's impressive tho may 1 stunt group na unstable pero di nalaglag. Ito yung hiyawan talaga mga tao. But this is their only flipping mount with that large number of stunt group. 4. Double spin from prep level to full extension. Heel stretch to double down x 6 sets. May gash anim lang in a competition na 8-9 ang stunt groups lagi. Crowded ang bases tapos may isa pang hindi stable stunt group. Then yung isang cheer content creator, si Popoy Tagalupa, also criticized the position of the bases na para bang pang level 5 (pang high school) ang position. 5. Front walkover to dive into handstand x 5 sets. Then pop to arabesque, then arabian dismount. Not very impressive tbh because 5 stunt group lang and sa prep level pa sinalo. But yes impressive na ang handstand during that era. But yes impressive naman yung flipping dismount from a one leg position. Overall I can say kapos na sila sa stunt skills nito. Either they ran out of ideas (which I doubt) or di lang talaga open ang coaches pano pag aralan ang trend. 2023: 1. 9 stunt groups of toss to hands at full extension in just one count. That's fucking 9! And lahat stable. 2. Ball up heel stretch x 7 sets. And they dismounted with front stepout full! That's crazy difficult! Even NU hasn't done that. If I'm not mistaken they're the 2nd team to do this. First one being Adamson 2019. The moment I saw this I can tell they're not the same team anymore. 3. Handstand load to cupie. May isa lang na nalaglag but the other 7 kept on. Then arabesque to arabian dismount. Mukhahg signature na nila to--dismounting with a flip from one leg position and this time mas marami na. 8. All original 8 sets did a front walkover to halftwist and land in cupie. Then back tuck dismount. That's both flipping skills for mount and dismount! UP Pep Squad 2015 could never. 9. Rewinds x 6 sets. Though di ko magets bakit 6 lang to. And yes shaky sila. And the kick double down weren't clean. Overall mas risk taking ang 2023. Mas continuous ang skills unlike 2015 na dumaan lang sa stunt. Stunts palang to, tinatamad pako magtype sa tumblings, tosses and pyramids.
