For close proximity to this spot; you can book a bed at "The Cal Lodge" or "Clair Tappaan Lodge" 400 feet north (on the uphill side of 'Old US 40', AKA The Lincoln Highway, now referred to as Donner Pass Road, Norden.

Amazing they still use those things, they're the only units I can think of that are still used that were around in the era of the Cab Forward. Kind of funny to see ACEs linked up with the gear that fought the Storm of '52.

Watching from Queens 👸 NY. The train 🚞 🚊 🚂 engine is heavy & powerful. The heavy snow is no match for it. It looks like magic. Love ❤️ your video. Thank you 🙏 for uploading. Appreciate it. I’ve subscribe.

Does anyone have a good recording of them using the air horn? I know 207 kept her steam whistle post-rebuild, but I see a 3 chime K-horn where a Leslie A200 used to be. Would be nice to hear what the classic A200 got replaced by. I guess if nothing else, I'm happy they kept the steam whistle at least.

I don't know much about snow removal. Why did it come to a complete stop?
