Awesome vid! Been fishing those piers off the wall there with my brother a lot lately... Thinking those big white bass and hybrids you guys were catching must have retreated to deeper water. Tons of perch, bluegill, white perch and channel cats though. What size spinners were you guys using?
@randomfishing59983 ай бұрын
Those were the smaller spinners. I think 1/10 oz. That was back in the spring and those fish were right up on the wall then. Glad to hear you're catch some fish out there. Thanks for watching

@randomfishing5998 Thanks for the reply! I seem to always have my best luck with the mid sized, 1/16 or 1/8 roostertails.. We've caught several white bass from lake erie between late may and mid-June, but missed the spawn at pymatuning unfortunately. Gonna have to give em hell in the fall and next spring lol
@jimquerin15214 ай бұрын
those white bass you speak of sure look like striped bass to me.
@randomfishing59984 ай бұрын
They very well could have been. Haha. Can never tell the difference
@wherewolf27603 ай бұрын
Some of them were definitely hybrids/whipers, but from what I can tell, no striped bass
@paulmerritt7540Ай бұрын
Are those white bass?
@randomfishing5998Ай бұрын
@paulmerritt7540 not sure, either white or hybrids. Can never tell them apart. Fun to catch though, whatever they were. Haha. Thanks for watching

Wow, that's really good that you could catch so many beautiful fish in a short time :) But I personally don't think it's good that you just catch fish for fun and then sit back in the water. This causes the fish pain and damages their mucous membranes, which protect against fungal infections. In my opinion, fish should only be caught for reasonable reasons, e.g. for human consumption.
@randomfishing59985 ай бұрын
Yeah, I don't eat much fish, so I should just quit fishing. Thanks for watching

I have a pond and people have fished it for 30 years. They throw the fish back all the time. When they are re-caught I’ve never seen a sign of any fungus or anything wrong with them. It’s fine to throw them back.
