so you know eaxactly what happened, who the murderer was and how the mrurderer got the weapon? how can you possible know all that? But yes, generally speaking, no law can remove risks like this. Meaning completely "stopping" it, using your words. You can still mitigate risk with laws and gun saftey standards can you not? Even if not completely stopping you can improve the odds and may safe lives in the long run. Fed up with all non-productive heated argument that does not lead to improvements. Lets say a person with grave mental illness and/or recorded abuse of heavy drugs tries to buy a firearm, would some states inefficient regulations not be an oppertunity to perhaps hinder the person get a gun? Obviously, the person may have had guns even beforehand and obviously guns can be aquired in several different ways, but STILL, what is the problem to improve things to at least mitigate risks and potentially save at least some lifes?

@@ghanaboyzno gun laws would have prevented this, he even used 10 round magazines, the ones allowed even in the most restrictive states. The sad truth is that things like this happen because people got complacent, they think that evil will never strike in their “safe” community. Most of those adults, if not all of them, should have been carrying a firearm. The perpetrator would have been stopped in his tracks before being able to injure so many people.
