Up to date "Who Dares Wins" Trailer (aka The FInal Option)

I couldn't find the original but hope this is enjoyable for some people. This 1982 film was inspired by the events of the Iranian Embassy siege that took place in London in 1980 and created huge public interest in the SAS in Britain.
This was my favourite move growing up (not really a kids film!) and thought I would try out doing another trailer (see also my attempt at the Spy Who Loved Me).
The dialogue is not great in this film and many pieces had to be edited to get them to make some sense.

One of the best films ever made

I saw this at my local cinema not long after the Falklands War, when the SAS were heroes to teenage boys, and it was full of people cheering on Lewis Collins. Also the last series of The Professionals was being shown at the same time, so people wanted to see Lewis Collins in a film. It was great fun, but not for the local CND branch who were protesting outside and being totallly ignored.

A great lead role by Ingrid Pitt, now sadly not with us. A great film.The 1980 Embassy siege in London showed that Britain was still in business when it was successfully dealt with by the SAS. No messing about.

What most people don't know is that Collins spent meny year's as a member of the para's (TA unit). He did apply to join the SAS (TA unit) but was only refused because of his fame. The could have a well known person working in a covert operation. He was heavily into martial arts, and was supremely fit.

Little known fact...This was one of President Reagan’s favourite movies. Apparently the director, or screenwriter, not sure who, hand delivered it to Camp David where Ronnie viewed it 😃
