Ashok Sarkar (Uttam Kumar) and his wife rent the 2nd story of a home from the homeowner (Kanu Bannerjee). And that homeowner turns out to be the landlord from hell, making the lives of the married couple and their servant miserable. To complicate things, the miserly landlord has a lovely daughter (Savitri Chatterjee) whose life he also does his best to ruin. Things just get worse and worse in the house until...

My words:
Indian film copyright (including video, dialog, music, lyrics, songs) lasts for sixty years and any film and its songs released more than sixty years ago is in the public domain. No extensions, no renewals, no exceptions. This film is no longer protected by copyright.
