IMO, as a licensed addiction professional, James is an alcoholic/addict. Not that this excuses any of his behavior at all. He is completely responsible for any and all CHOICES, yes choices, that he makes. Addiction is a disease but those that take their recovery seriously know and understand their triggers & consequences. They reach out to their positive & appropriate supports & make the right decisions for themselves & their situation. James should not ever drink or use any substances, IMO. He needs to take anger management classes as well as relationship & individual therapy.

He's been shown absolutely raging at people when he's been supposedly sober too though. He never gets any comeback for his behaviour so he's never had a reason to stop behaving like such a bully. He may get worse when he's drunk, but his barely contained violent nature is always very clearly there all the time. I'm sure we'll get the mental illness, & childhood trauma trotted out any day now...he won't get any punishment for it, & he'll just carry on as usual till next time...

It shows the day of the week, whether it’s morning, afternoon or evening, the time and the date. I’ve lost all sense of date and time since the pandemic and this clock has been so helpful. I got mine on Amazon. 😊

If it was really an overzealous neighbor report the police would’ve figured that out in the interview instead of bringing him in to be charged with domestic violence.
