This one of the best Punk Records I think I’ve ever heard. This is legitimately pushing the envelope. Controlled chaos, Poisoned Youth & A message that’s subtle but is being screamed in your face. As a Mixed Person I never thought I’d hear something that resonated with me like this. Not even counting the vocals, the Drum work is remarkable! Especially shines through the intro of the first track “Shakin”. KT’s Shouty & demanding vocals feel so rapid but at the same time makes you stop & listen. When she speaks it feels like what she’s saying is being broadcasted through city. It feels like a riot is about to start. I also have to hand it to the bass & guitar. These riffs sound so familiar especially with the garage rock influence but the way these riffs are being played it’s almost like taking sound so iconic & but adding another layer to it. The bass on the intro of “Shakin” is so haunting. Legit gives me chills. I can hear every sludge, every slam & every heavy rugged note being played. KT’s Vocals really shine on “Reaper”. It’s so ominous & commanding. Her voice echos like sirens. She really gives me vibes of MC RIDE. But in a good way! Especially when she shouts “PSYCHO”. It hits different. It’s pure poetry being shouted as commands. That’s the art of it. This EP is gold. Upchuck isn’t only going to change the game. It’s not only going to take Hardcore & AfroPunk to a new level, it think it’s single handedly going to explode the Atlanta Punk scene. What’s craziest of all is this is they’re first EP. They’re just getting started.
