I would also like to enlighten with one news long back in 2014-2015 regarding a bus manufacturing facility envisioned by the current govt in Andal near the private airport and this project was supposed to help ease the local bus industry in commutation...can you search and highlight on this? But a caveat: this was that time a chinese company putting in around 1000cr for this project.

We badly need investments from Ola electric, Uber Research & Development, Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Apple, Tesla .. All these are in Noida - Gurgaon, Banglore, Pune, Hyderabad.. We are lagging.. If TMC govt doesn't approve SEZ status all these company would never Come to Bengal.. And that's the reality for last 10 yrs.. Kolkata is becoming an old age home.

Hi Rohit, good inputs in your latest video and thanks for bringing up the scotchy news of Motovolt and you are right that they have already started manufacturing of e-cycles with forthcoming plans for 2 & 3 wheelers. Also, wanted to share that the 5th line of metro is identifying land in a circuitous way to avoid the straight barrackpore line as this stretch along the road (where the metro line was expected and is currently stuck) is fiddled with issue encircling tala pipes going underneath feeding the enormous population and govt is not taking the risk; so this stretch is really going to take some time like the new airport scenario in Kalyani. Moreover can you pls highlight something on the Katwa Thermal power station which is showing "under construction" status taken over by L&T but I have serious doubts, not being negative but wholly being around the fact as the project has been facing owing to center's lackadaisical attitude even after the complete land was handed over but may be stuck due to coal linkages.

There r some industrial mild stones of Bengal in 2021. 1) Ashoke nagar Gas and Oil exploration starts in 21. 2) Warehouse and Lgistics park invested by Flipkart, Amazon, Mahindra logistics and many in Kalyani, Uluberia, Dankuni, Malda, Asansol, North bengal. Total 4300 cr investment. Bengal will be no 1 Logistic hub in India due to geographical advantage. 3) Bantala Leather complex. Biggest in Asia. Bengal will be largest leather msnufaturer and exporter in india. 4) Iskcon, Mayapur vedic temple along with tourism park. 3000 cr invested. Project looked after by Alfred Ford, owner of Ford com. He is dvotee of Iskcon. foreign tourist will increase. It will no 1 spiritual tourism spot in the world. 5) AIIMS ( Velor of Bengal) People from eastern india along with from Bangladesh will come here for treatment. medical tourism. All these projects create huge employments. Just wait for 6 months.

Bengal already has maximum no of small / medium / micro ( MSME) scale company in India.That is hooping 52 70 000 ! All registered company. Can you imagine. Just search in google. Its highest in India among all states. If one company empoyes 10 people on an average then all MSME can employ around 5 crore people. Then why workers from bengal going otuside for labour work ????? In small scale idustry, mostly unskilled workers work.

Thanks for reply. This data is of 2017 by Govt of India. There was no covid. Search in google. U get all information. yes unemployment is there for highly qualified people like engineer, CA and MBA. There r very few quality jobs in bengal like managemant consulting, finance, Data analitics, industrial design, and engineerig. Thats why after passing out engineers /CA / MBA go out of bengal. There r huge jobs for plain graduates/ 10th pass / 12th pass people in srvice sectors like retail, ecommerce, warehouse, logistics etc industry. There r very less MNC / blue chip company in Bengal

Someone suggest to Rohit to give an idea of mfg sector industries in WB in last 10 years. That's fine But how about making an all-out effort bring back those MNCs which were operating out of Kolkata and which have now only a token presence in Kolkata. I am talking about Britannia, Phillips, Avery, Smith Stanistreet, Bata, Reckitt Bannister, Kuljian Corporation, Westinghouse Saxby , GEC now Alsthom, Bells Controls, and several others . What Bengal now needs is a pharmaceuticals hub. Once upon a time Bengal were pioneers in the pharma industry, but suddenly Maharashtra became a pharma hub. And now pharmaceuticals cos have moved out of Bombay to other places such as Ankleshwar, Bengaluru , Hyderabad etc Why not invite Biocon chief Kiran Shaw Mazumdar to set up an unit in Bengal ?
