To me, The Dark Ages has been building up since Doom 2016 lore. Eternal's lore gave us a clearer picture of The Dark Ages, can't wait! Glad to see you back man, keep rippin n tearin!

im playing through the master levels in the Doom 1&2 collection that recently came out, its great cant wait for the Dark Ages

So many things i just realized in this trailer that _ 1. There's NO Platforms & Jump Pads from it's previous sequels. 2. Sarcophagus or those Slayer Testament which are carved in the stone can be now read, rather than interpreted automatically by some unknown demon in the background, just like in the Doom 4. Btw are those argent people worshiping the Wraiths❓ 3. Just like in the Doom Eternal we can now navigate & explore the Sentinel Based & who knows maybe we can interact with them & other NPCs as well for some Lore or Side Missions this time around. 4. Doom Guy is kneeling down to someone or something ⁉️ While he's holding his SUPER Shotgun, Maybe it was King Novik in the holograms perhaps or something like that. While the knight sentinels are bringing Slayer's Doom Shield. Or maybe this is the start of the mission. Where we received our our SSG & DS to start the game. 5. The Knight Sentinels looks like they were wearing a different armor this time, rather than their traditional armor just like the previous sequels. Maybe a nod into Co-Op gameplay perhaps. 6. In the chain mill factory we can now actually see the Skull Crusher Ammo (Skulls atop one another which glowing yellow). 7.We can see major changes in Doom Guy's armor which he looks more bigger & badder, just like the DC's new The Absolute Batman. His armor has now yellowish gem at the side of his heart, which in the og trailer it didn't have. Also his armor has singing silver-ish this time, and more spikes above his helmet & shoulder. 8. And last Doom Guy's eyes was glowing gold. Which means the power that Divinity Machine gave the Doom Guy God Like Power it is still taking it's time to Merge With His Host.

I thought Eternal had some fairly lackluster bosses, so I'm really hoping they step it up and deliver better fights this time around. Hope we find out more on Thursday!

​​@@jasongreen7860 the main campaign takes place shortly before the khan maykrs betrayal. After that comes the civil war which spanned many years, until doomguy and the sentinels get trapped in hell, where he also spent a long time fighting before getting imprisoned. The story will end with the slayer getting imprisoned, but considering the extremely long amount of time between the slayer's servitude, the civil war, and his time in hell, they wouldnt be able to condense all of that in just one game. Two DLCs that separately cover the civil war and the slayer's time in hell, would be more appropriate since it allows for timeskips between periods

Dark Ages is easily the most exciting thing for anything right now. I really do think the fact that you'll be using the atlan mech and riding dragons across the campaign will help a lot with the pacing. In Eternal, you're pretty much always on foot killing demons and doing some platform puzzles, which weren't boring at all, but it can get somewhat samey after a while. So I think spacing the normal combat with awesome spectacles like fighting titans will spice things up a lot. I just hope the mech and dragon fights have at least half the depth as the main combat loop will have.

I agree! Doom Eternal had great puzzles and platforming, but it did get repetitive after a while. Dark Ages will for sure change up the pace and keep things interesting.

I feel like this game is gonna challange the player in a different way than both 2016 and eternal. In 2016 we were given the power fantasy and in eternal we had to earn it. This time I feel like they're gonna go for a middle ground, Like we're gonna give you the power fantasy but don't think we won't challange you along the way. Essentially see if you can maintain it type of deal.

The BFG 9000 being in this game is not even a question. We know it will be in the game as it is way too iconic to exclude. That would be a fuck up of enormous magnitude if the game didn't have it.

Just a theory, but do you think they will announce the Collector's Edition at the Xbox Developer Direct? And what item do you think would be the main collectible for the set? I think it's gonna be a replica of the new shield. Especially since we've already seen merchandise based around the shield and Bethesda made the 3D replicas of it for an event last year. It's all theoretical but do you think it's likely?

Good video to be caught back up to speed. But I need to complain about something I really don’t like that we have underthemayo in the doom community because of his awful reviews he gives to games. Like I’m glad he sees the doom games as fun games but his ultrakill, Arkham knight, god of war, and many other reviews are just horrible. And it doesn’t help he can’t take criticism himself

No one’s perfect in the Doom community, but I think he’s been helpful with player guides for the Marauder and using other weapon mods like the Microwave Beam and Auto Shotgun. I get that not everyone likes him, but he is getting the views and subscribers so something works with what he does.

i like Doom eternal but the gameplay is not "for me", idw its just the movement is just to crazy i don't like it very much...... that being said if Doom dark ages slows down the "coke addict" levels of movement i believe i will like it alot more then it's predecessor:)

That’s why I think it’s a good thing to slow things down to make us think about what to do and make the experience different. A sequel to Eternal is something we don’t need yet.
