Upcoming Vinyl Rips for the Rest of 2016

Nice! Did you manage to snag the tri-color Outrun? I ended up forgetting about the release so ended up with the green vinyl, which isn't too shabby a consolation. My buddy picked up Mondo's Castlevania release, I'm curious to see if there's any differences between it and my Moonshake Records bootleg LP.

I did! Usually I'll end up setting an alarm or losing a lot of sleep if it means getting a limited edition variant of a record The Castlevania isn't too bad actually! And it is quite different, the Mondo release uses a different audio source compared to what the Moonshake one uses. Side A of the Mondo release has some sound effects layered into one of the tracks for example. Not a bad release at all and it sounds fantastic. The Moonshake bootleg is miles better but it's also cool to own an "official" release as well :)

Good to know! I met the Moonshake guy a few weeks ago, didn't think to ask about his process in detail. Coincidentally, Moonshake and Mondo hail from the same city

+Hernia901 interesting factoid about him and Mondo! I'll say that if I ever met him I'm not sure what I'd say or do. People give him a lot of flak and for all the right reasons for him putting out these releases, but you can tell he loves what he is doing and I more or less respect him for that. Plus without him I wouldn't have the freaking Pokemon soundtrack on vinyl ;)
