Upcountry Thailand Eating Dancing Shrimp in Phayao

Today we’re making the trip from the village to Phayao city, a journey of 25km’s, to do some sightseeing to sample some of the local delights.
I’m still not confident that the prawns that Ta was eating were 100% post living.

I wonder what they'd think of our Great Lakes. Especially Lake Superior and Lake Michigan are the largest . The first letter of the lakes spell HOMES. Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Eerie, and Superior. So there's your free geography lesson for 2020. :-)

The old bus looks like the one abandoned up near Pai, I wouldn’t want to ride on it either. Ta’s cousin is so beautiful it seems to run in the family😍 I don’t mind eating raw food but I’m very cautious about raw food out of freshwater after getting very sick from freshwater mussels. "Goong Dten" in pasa Thai, Chinese has a version called " drunken prawn" , technique is the same but no shaking means no hard work, they scoop live school prawn from the tank and put inside the small pot then pour the high volume alcohol (as rice wine, or vodka or bourbon etc...) into the pot, leave it for 10 minutes, prawn died or got drunken, then ready for consuming. Available in Hay Market (Chinatown Sydney) tried several times, Aroi mak mak. Thanks Brad & Ta

All prawns have an exoskeleton, but because they were young the shells weren't hard.

I think ordering too much food is a trait of generous people, regardless of the Nationality. Most of the time we over order, but it's not always good if we do it in front of the camera. 🤣🤣🤣

The tourist season is a bit slow in Thailand, especially in places like Phayao. All the locals would have been at home, it was a school night. 👍😁🙏
