I haven’t sewn a garment in 15 years (I quilt now, but I was a dressmaker for a long time), and I have been wanting to incorporate patchwork onto an old denim jacket that’s been hanging in my closet from the days when denim jackets were cool, then not cool, and now cool again. I accidentally forgot to return 2 mesh blouses 2 seasons ago (not inexpensive), when the black mesh with embroidery was "all the rage"--both sitting in closet with tags on, but couldn't bear to get rid of them...NOW at least I can make good use of them, lol!! Also: this would be a SUPER CUTE light spring-summer cover-up if done in white denim with white embroidered mesh! I LOVE how creative you are--and your "lessons" aren't intimidating at all! We’re so glad you liked it! So, the tape I use doesn’t leave a lot film, so long as you take your time heat setting it. But, I always change my needle out after sewing up a project with this.
