You make such pretty items. The flower box is so lovely, it would be a good gift for someone in the hospital where scented flowers etc are not allowed. A product that stops wrinkles is gel medium thinned with water, it is pricey but works well when making something extra special. You are very calming. Thank you.

love the box, and yes, I have done a bit of mod pog with paper napkins. did a long wooden storage box that holds the tv stuff. I used two different napkins and then lightly over painted with a color that went well with the napkin colors. it is not wonderful, but a good start. Glad to know about using the plastic wrap to flatten without the paper coming up or tearing. Good information, thank you.

I saw you starting this video and I ran to the trash as I just threw a box like that away. I retrieved it so I will try this method soon. Hey Tracey. Recycling is the best, it makes you look at everything before you throw it away. Beautiful box, love it. Great Tutorial as always. I have the non gloss Mod podge and it gives off a little shine nothing like the high gloss. Did some Wine bottles for my daughter and hubby 1st Xmas in there home, used magazine paper, scriptures books etc. Thxs for sharing

I so appreciate your super laid-back approach to being creative. Marge podge a plastic bottle. I love your work I love your husband Father’s Day cards. They are so easy to make. I made one with a tie I put half the tie on the front and half on the back. I'm glad I watched this. It turned out beautifully. Speaking of thrift store glass, it looks terrific to decoupage on the inside of the glass, or the outside of a bowl. I've tried all the ModPodge and don't really have much preference; it depends on the substrate.

I saw another crafter using a paintbrush and water to pull away the parts of the napkin you want instead of tearing. Check them out. You do wonderful work! Love th a lace on the bottom best.

Just wanted to comment as I first saw this on my Roku DIY channel... so enjoy your creativity... on this particular project, I decided to tape the bottom from the inside to give a tighter base and cut a piece of felt to attach to the bottom for a more complete look. Thanks for the great ideas!!

Oh that is insane. I had JUST thrown away a box that had high-lighters in it. I said I wonder if I could do something with this and I thought of mod podge. I thought well the print on the box would show through. I never thought to paint over it. I'm going to get that happy little box out of the recycle bin right now!! You're great.

I started trying to use shoe boxes for napkin decoupage. You know how some are much nicer quality than others...Also I buy shoes from a discount store that never matches the shoes with the right box anyway, so nobody seems to care what box you walk out the store with for your shoes. So I always look for the nicest shoe boxes, hehehe
