Update 0.154.1 Will BLOW You Away! - Valheim

Hey, Im Grimmcore, the artist working on Valheim. Why is there such a big missconeption that we are not working on getting more content in the game?

Hey Grimmcore, I think there's just a lot of frustration in the dedicated server community at the moment. We are the hardcore players with 700+ hours in and we're watching as our servers die slowly due to a lack of content. Also too, there is a huge portion of this community that loves the way that PVP feels in Valheim, and it definitely gives that Conan Exiles/Rust feeling. However, all of the effort is put into the PVE side of the game. PVE is always very important and goes hand in hand with PVP, but there's only so many times you can kill Yagluth and make a castle in a new biome before it becomes old and stale. PVP however, each and every day, there's a new challenge like someone to kill and/or someone that wants to kill you. Although not everyone loves PVP, I feel letting people know about it would drive a huge number of new players to the game and it would bring back all the current owners of the game that have left until there's new content to explore. That one OTK Valheim PVP tournament they hosted was a huge success on KZbin. We say "when is Hearth and Home coming", because we know that would quickly repopulate our servers. I would just hate to see this huge momentum that Valheim built up as one of the best games on Steam...and then it just dies off.

Looking forward to Hearth and Home so always a little disappointed when you see a release and it is an update instead but I never expected H&H until sometime this month so am not upset about it and the patch definitely helps on a number of issues. Had the wolf event hunting me today in the mountains and it was totally unexpected and hair raising for a bit until I got health and stamina up to cope with it. Just glad it was fulings, lol. Keep up the good work!

I've been hit with 3 wolf events already (all 3 in the plains) and I keep running into fullings around my original camp near the spawn point and I've seen them around my main base a time or two also. Nowhere near the Plains at all. It may be a bug, but sure forces you to keep eating good food if you know you could run into a group of fullings around your main base at any time.

@@casualcarolinafishing5835 lol, yeah after you beat Yagluth you get night spawns of a few fulings wherever you are, from meadows to mountains, even without plains on the island. definitely keeps ya on your toes

My last playthrough I used the Epic Loot mod. It's a game changer. I killed Yoggy (for the 8th time) like a week ago and am still out there farming fulling camps for the drops to sacrifice for augment components searching for the perfect enhancements for my gear. It's so much fun!

@@hmac4076 I'll take a look at that trailer then. Thanks. I'm an older guy (57) so I'm not big on PvP or large scale raid type things anymore. I was huge into WoW once upon a time but that was quite a few years ago now. The old reflexes just aren't what they used to be. lol

It's an update. It fixes some things that we'll notice (like the pointy ground rise, serpent, and the long missing events ). They are working on it. In my Book that's a plus. P.S: I checked, they do updates roughly every 3 weeks or so - that is MUCH better than some other early access titles. PPS: Maybe I'm more patient than others, but after 20 years in IT I know things take time....

@@hmac4076 We actually dont want to become Epic Games =) We want to be a smaller studio where we know eachother and everyone feels that they can say what they want to say. Content is being created. but on our terms.
