UPDATE : A 15-year-old girl has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the shooting of a 16-year-old boy outside an east-end Toronto apartment building in early July, police say.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 11 Antrim Crescent, west of Kennedy Road and just south of Highway 401, for reports of a shooting just after 6 p.m. on July 3 near 6 Glamorgan Avenue.

Police said a teenage boy was shot when a black SUV drove by and opened fire while he was standing with friends. Caden Francis made his way toward a nearby basketball court where he collapsed. He was rushed to a trauma centre, where he later died of his injuries, investigators said.
On Thursday, police said a 15-year-old girl was arrested on Wednesday and charged with first-degree murder.
She cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Police said the investigation remains ongoing.

Homicide unit investigating after teenager shot and killed in Toronto
TORONTO -- Toronto homicide detectives are investigating after a teenager was fatally shot in Scarborough Saturday evening.
Just after 6:00 p.m., police received multiple calls about gunshots heard outside of an apartment building at 11 Antrim Crescent, near Kennedy Road and Highway 401.
When officers arrived on scene, they located a person suffering from gunshot wounds.
A male teenager was rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition, Toronto paramedics said.
Shortly after, the teenager succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead in hospital, police said.
The victim’s identity has not been released.
The homicide unit has taken over the investigation.
Duty Insp. Katherine Stephenson said the teenager was on the roadway with some friends when a vehicle drove up to them and opened fire.
“We don't know how many occupants were in the vehicle. We do believe that there was gunshots fired from the vehicle,” she told reporters at the scene Saturday night.
Stephenson said the vehicle is described as a black SUV.
Police believe the victim fled a short distance before collapsing near a basketball court in the area.
“We're in the process right now of reviewing video near the basketball court as well as the neighboring buildings, and hopefully that video pieces together exactly what occurred,” Stephenson said.
The victim’s friends are being interviewed by police and are cooperating, Stephenson added.
No further information about suspects has been released.

I miss Caden he was my favorite cousin we would always talk in person or on media and to think someone can do this to my baby cousin gets me upset and why does a 15 yr old have a gun this gets me so upset but my cousin is g ok be and I'll miss him dearly I love u cuzzo I see u again 🙏🏾🕊️
