I like your project pan videos!!! You've motivated me on so many occasions to rethink and plan better on how to use up my opened skincare products before opening new ones or just to let them go because they no longer bring me joy when using them. What I love about the green beauty is the small batch production, the great ingredient sourcing, great formulations and the lack of mainstream preservatives use. But this last one can backfire terribly. The weak preservative system is one of the reasons why green beauty products have a short shelf life. Keeping an opened product for a longer period of time can be very dangerous, even if there is no scent or color change, like the Acid Glow in your case... 3 yrs... Please throw it out... It is okay if products go unused because it is time to part from them...

@@naturalbeautywithmelanie yes, in almost all cases I do. If the product contains water as an ingredient, most definitely. Products without water, like face oils/serums I go by the scent and color. However, I rarely find green beauty products to last longer than the product shelf life (expiration date) or the # of months sign on the packaging after opening. I would notice change in color or consistency first. Scent in my opinion is the last indicator that the product is on its last leg.

I love your project pan videos!! I’ve overdone it on monthly skincare subscription services, holiday deals at dermstore, space nk, and other websites so making a list of things that need to be used is too scary!! Will be taking a break from all except boxwalla for a while but will miss the monthly surprises!!
