All these comments about how loving Konthea is towards the monkeys is funny. If you had watched these videos, you would know that she works for the VOs for video coverage. She is told what to do by the VOs so it looks like she is so loving. I was shocked to find she is only doing this for the money. They had so many of her with Sweet Pea yet she was just as hurtful to Sweet Pea as all the others. So don't put her on a pedestal. She is simply doing this for money.

I have read through these comments and realize that a lot of you don't understand what is going on here. Konthea is putting on a show to get views. She is portraying this lover of animals by petting and giving food, picking bugs and all kinds of weird stuff normal people would not do to a monkey. You need to see other videos that she is in. Her and her husband know what people want to see and do everything possible to put on that show for you. They need the views to make the money. She is no different that the other VOs that abuse, cause accidents, drug and even injure monkeys for views. I have seen these videos. You just have to look for them. I read somewhere else that she actually served a custodial sentence for her involvement in abusing these poor creatures and that her children had been in the States care. I chose not to believe that comment but there have been so many on similar topics. Has she actually had to close several other change and has she had several little ones removed from her home due to physical and *sexual abuse. If anyone has evidence to support this please post it as it might stop people sending contributions and gifts and stop watching their channels meaning funding for expensive jewellery for her and camera equipment for the men. The man Lin that has taken her on as she is accustomed to humans and shit scared of monkeys now is also homeless. He is looking after her and trying to take her to integrate with monkeys so she can join a troop. Maybe do some research on the actual situation before shouting your trap off with facts you have got wrong. No one even knows if Lin is making money out of Sovana since taking her in. Everyone has their reasons for doing the things they do. It doesn’t make them inherently bad or evil. Watching some of her past videos I can see a difference between then and now. I might not have cared for for how some things were done, but it is evident in every way that she has learned to care. She calmed the monkey with just her touch. Those people in that region are as dumb as they come, but when it comes to these primates, they aren't stupid. Why do you think they never kidnap adult macaques? Because they wouldn't be able to dress them like morons that all the depends-wearing grandma's wet themselves over. Because an adult macaque would maim their cowardly asses. Now babies, THEY can be bullied and abused, some for a few years. But as SOON as puberty comes, boom, dumped. Hence the revolving door of channels with baby upon baby upon baby. Plus these people Kill monkey moms and steal the babies, the babies are raised by human hands then these people have human babies and these stolen monkeys get jealous of the human baby, the monkey has no idea what is happening all this monkey knows it that this thing all of a sudden appears out of nowhere, its natural instinct is to attack to protect its handler. Then when they can no longer control these stolen monkeys they toss them back to the forest to fend for themselves some make it some don't but the ones that do at some point become aggressive toward humans. I heard when that when these countries went on lock down due to the Pandemic the monkeys were starving because there were no humans out feeding them so the monkeys were invading peoples homes in search of food as well as attacking people on the street stealing their food.. . So you can not BLAME THE MONKEYS for what these Human ABUSERS have created for themselves. There is an old saying Be Careful where you Stick your Hands because one day it could come back to Bite You!!

I'm glad that my stste doesn't allow them except for research. They are illegal in most US states and that is tightening down more and more each year. They have got to get a handle on it and punish anyone taking a monkey as a pet or even saving the babies that are abandoned and dying. They are abandoned and left to die for a reason by the mother's. @Trenner Sherry I don't wish animals harm but there is a need for culling and some of these animals do suffer at the hands of the humans taking them. I have seen a few videos where a monkey has been violated (yes, sexually) by their human owner. People do anything for views over there. These animals shouldn't be owned because they are a HUGE health risk. And the ones that are wild are being fed, approached, etc which is another health risk because all it takes is them flinging body fluids or feces or even a bite that breaks the skin and their bodily fluids getting into a cut you didn't know you had or as in one case a girl working with them in a lab had one fling bodily fluids and it got in her eye and she died 6 weeks later from Herpes B. Some animals are not designed to ever be a pet. And because they've saved all these babies that were abandoned and should have died and they release them back to the wild when they are at or nearing breeding age, they have just added that many more breeders to an already problematic population.

Why would the baby monkey be running away from its "human family" if it was getting everything it needed. I have a tomcat that thinks he owns me, constantly glued to my side!! He (my tomcat) is neutered, well fed, warm home, clean liter pan, food 2x/day, everyday. When he was a stray kitten he had fluid in his lungs, his cat mom likely died from that. My boy & his 2 sisters were looking 4 food, my daughter saw them. The rest was/is history. His sisters were too far gone to be saved.

There is nothing wrong of adopting Sovanna as a family pet and once a week take her go visit & play with the troop until this baby monkey gets mature old enough to make her own family into the wild. Poor little monkey got scared being woken up from a sound sleep!! The baby likes hanging out with the pregnant girl!! The monkey is very relaxed, comfortable,and feels safe with this girl!!!the young woman seems to care a lot for this monkey too she’s not going to allow it getting abused or hurt by anyone!!! I think the woman is going to keep the monkey as a pet!! The monkey could help out with the new baby like get diapers and other needed items!! It could be a blessing to have it around!! Is that a village she’s at?, what a beautiful place!! I would love to check it out there!! Where’s this place at!!?? I wish the new mother and family the best of blessing forever!!
