takes a ton of time? says copying 577 items from sol to assetocorsa instead of just the 97 it showed for you. I am moving to my root folder. can anyone help? says it will take 9 hours UPDATE: DID NOT EXTRACT FILES

For some reason, sometimes it’s able to install quickly even though the archive is not extracted, sometimes it makes the computer really struggle. But yeah extracting prior to installing should solve that issue!

Great video also wanted to mention. that my buddy has had SOL installed for a long time now and his rain and weather has always worked perfect, for him with no problems and he did not pay for it just downloaded it and had had it, mine works but i have no weather but can change it..

The free version from the official sources of SOL doesn’t have rain. I’m generally wary of unofficial downloads from other sites so I try to steer clear of them for peace of mind.

Try again after restarting your computer and see if that helps. I get that sometimes with CM too and it seems very random.

whenever i try to download sol 2.2.9 it opens up a blank page in my web browser

I have been having trouble getting SOL on my content manager and I have tried a ton of things... the only things I can note is I'm on custom shaders patch 0.1.79( my content manager is 0.8.2561) ... When I go to move the files from SOL to CM, it doesn't ask me "overwrite 7 files?" Instead it just starts automatically transferring files, taking around 20 minutes. When it seems done it goes away but nothing happens in content manager. Any ideas? Thanks.

SOL has to be installed manually, you can't drag and drop it into CM. You'll need to put the SOL files into your root Assetto Corsa folder instead. Hope this helps!

Why are my folders from Sol archive take very long to copy to AC root folder? I managed to copy all the folders but the extension file is not copying.

Try unzipping the folder first before copying it over. That works for me sometimes. Hope this helps!

I’ve just installed soo 2.2.8 & the sol 2.5 is not showing in controller script. Only options I have are basic & Sol. Soo 2.5 is no where to be seen so I can’t use the sol controller as it tells me the controller isn’t activated in weather fx

It might be your version of Content Manager. Check what version you’re on and if you’re on the latest version, it should show like how it does in the video. On older versions, you have a drop down for weather script and another for controller script.

@@play_by_ear I double & triple checked to be sure I’m on the latest version of CM. The controller script is there where it is in the video but Sol 2.5 isn’t an option for controller only Sol or basic. just uninstalled 2.2.9 beta 1 & installed 2.2.9 & still no options for Sol 2.5 controller so I guess I'll just have to live without it or go back to Sol 1.7 or whatever version my previous one from a few years ago was

I have a downloaded CSP preset from another youtuber i use from time to time. Sol controller works just fine on that despite it having the same weather fx & other such Sol selections in the CSP settings. I've given up trying to make it work at this point@@Mr-Kang

SOL has to be installed manually, so yeah, do that for SOL. Most other mods can just be dragged into content manager even if they’re zipped.

What link do you have trouble with? For the root folder, you can find it by doing this : Open up Steam, right click on Assetto Corsa and go into properties. Under local files, click on browse. Your root Assetto Corsa folder should pop up and that’s the folder you need to copy the files to.

Open up Steam and head to your game Library. RIght click on Assetto Corsa and then Properties --> Installed Files --> Browse. Your Assetto Corsa folder should pop up there. Hope this helps!

I think there are so many combinations of version for AC / CM and CSP that it’s hard to get it exactly the same! The important thing is that you get it working for you :)
