Thanks so much for explaining how to use this software in a way a non IT guy can understand it. lol I have been playing this game for years just dreaming of getting a head tracker, now I don't have to spend a cent and it makes things so much easier than having to use the mouse to look around. :)

@@GamerKatz_1971 Go into "Controls" then "Keys & Buttons" scroll down to near the bottom and find "Enable Head Tracking" you will then see what button you use to re-activate Head Tracking. 🙂

I did everything correctly but it doesn't work for me because when I look in controls under "Eye Tracking" it says "Eye Tracking (no HW detected)" and I am unable to click the box to enable it. I'm using "Opentrack - 2023.3.0"

G'day Allvinko, that is the same on my settings, there isn't any HW (Hardware) to detect because Opentrack replaces the mouse movements and doesn't require any hardware, BTW the latest version of Opentrack is 2024.1.1 so that might be why it's not working. 🙂

​@@roanegaming I uninstalled 2023.3.0 and installed 2024.1.1, and it is still not working. I tried using it in MSFS 2020, and it worked perfectly. I also tested it in ETS, and I had the same problem. Both ETS and ATS don't work for some reason.

G'day jay jones, Go into "Options" in Opentrack the go to "Output" see if the "Invert" is ticked if it is then untick it if it's not then tick it and that should solve your issue 🙂

@@cfc3972 Go to "Options" in Opentrack again then go to "Filter" and set the "Smoothing" slider all the way to the right.

@@cfc3972 to make it center better you will need to calibrate the camera, to do that you will need to open "Opentrack" and start the camera, make sure you are seated correctly in front of your camera just like you would be when playing the game then go to "Options" then to "Output" and make sure both "Yaw" and "Pitch" are selected then go to "Tracker" and then click "Start calibration" and follow the instructions. if you only use Yaw you can turn off Pitch after the calibration is finished

Thank you for this, I have dual monitor but my frames are tanking in some areas if I use the multimon even in a lower quality setting, although it feels more natural, but have frames dip to 20s is awful. With this I can max my graphics and frames comfortably goes upto 80-100s.

@@roanegaming Yes, instead of using the multi monitor setup of 3840x1080 to extend my view to all side mirrors, I can stick to 1920x1080 and just play the game on a single monitor, so more frames.

I know this is an old video but I need some help… what if I want to switch back to using my controller to look around ? Like if I only want to use head tracking sometimes. Once i get open track setup there is no way to set it back to controller without completely uninstalling open track.. any suggestions you have would be great help and much appreciated.. thanks

G'day EDMtech, if you go into your "Options" and then "Keys & Buttons" and find the "Head Tracking" section at the bottom you will see the setting "Enable Head Tracking" and the button to switch it on or off, if it is empty you van assign one there.

@ thanks so much for answering on a older video.. I think I worded my question incorrectly lol, now that I go back and read it 😆… sorry I was in hurry when I typed it out.. I already have a key binded to disable head tracking… but when I do that the tracking stops but it doesn’t switch back to my controller… I’ve even closed the open track app and my controller still won’t work… the only way to get that functionality back is to completely uninstall the open track app.. just hopeful someone would know how to fix it because I do like to use head tracking but not all the time. And it is a huge hassle to have to uninstall the app every time I want it go back to my controller.. Thanks again for answering and I appreciate any help I can get… Love the videos …..

How did you get it to work so good wearing glasses? If I try to use it driving at night the lights reflect off my glasses and it goes all over the place.

Yes you sure can, however you would need to download an app from Playstore etc to connect your phones camera to your pc, unfortunately I have not done this so I wont be much help sorry.
