Check out 'Living Traditions' on KZbin. They have a rather inexpensive double fence around their orchard to keep deer out. Its not very high eithor just uses T-posts too. The trick is to have the 2 fences I think its about 6ft apart. The deer don't have good depth perception so they realize they can't jump over both fences and that they can't land between them & jump again & avoid it completely. They then use the Chicken Moat as they call it for the chickens and ducks to live in & have smallish hoop coops for nights & egg laying. If you want you can just run a cross fence between the two tall ones to limit the part they use. Also hawks & other predator birds can't or won't swoop to grab them in the narrow moat area. This means the moat doesn't need to have any chicken wire etc as a protective 'roof'. They explained it better than that but I wanted you to get an idea of why you should check out their homestead channel in my opinion anyway 😊
