UPDATE: I BOOKED MY JOB!!!

I just turned 18 and made the big decision. Your 3 videos with your energy have made me a little less nervous. My job will be 11x infantry. From there, jump school, ranger school, and then, if I prove to myself I am tough enough, I will become a Green Beret. My journey will be longer than most. I know your job will be very different from mine but from one fresh adult to another, you'll do great girlie and I wish you a long, exciting career.

For anyone joining the AF, Physical: Make sure too run. If you don't run then you'll have a tough time trying too reach your maximum or minimum time for the BMT standards. I try too do more than 1.5 miles( Which is how much you'll run) bc you will be more prepared and have extra stamina left. Push ups and sit ups, do as much as possible as well because you want too get a maximum on both of them. Push past your limit, get that discipline in you. BMT standards: Push ups= 33 Minimum, 67 maximum ( For males) Sit-ups= 42 Min, 58 Max 1.5 run= Under 14-13 Minimum, Under 9:00 Maximum. ( Females idk because im a male 19😅, so ill leave it too you Gwen!) STUDY: Study your ranks, reporting statements, Airman's creed & song, drills, and do alittle research on AF history. The point is too be prepared because when you arrive at Basic you wont be ready, just prepared because you'll learn more of what you dont know once you go through BMT. ( Hence the BMTSG *Basic Military Training Study Guide*, i overdid my reseaech on BMT😅, but this goes for everyone.) For anyone not knowing what DEP ( Delayed Entry Program) is: Do all of whats above, basically DEP is a study hall while waiting for class( Too ship too BMT). Be prepared as well, bc they threw a PT evaluation on us and only me and another trainee passed the test easily bc preparing comes a long way. Also, LIVE IN A BUBBLE. My recruiter has told me too live in a bubble and don't risk going too parties or etc. Just wait and itll be worth it. Finally, be proud. I had too wait 8 months for a job and i ship out March 5th. Be proud and always remember it will be well worth it🎉 Also, congrats on Admin Gwen cuz we might be working together ( I got Admin as well) But get ready for the waiting game, hurry up and wait lmao😂 Aim high😎👍 ( Be sure too download the Aim High App, or use the DEP program app Gwen, it helps ALOT)

Hi, didn't you tell the recruiter that you are willing to wait until your 1st option opens up? or you didn't have that option as well? idk why they say they can't guarantee you the job but if that is the job you really want you can either wait or walk away if they really don't want to give it. I mean i'm also thinking of enlisting, I do have a degree tho but hopefully the jobs I want are available. Congrats on getting Admin!
