I’m ok with assembling everything myself. Saves you time & effort and saves us money. Great channel, and I’m digging the shorter format videos-it’s more digestible.

Absolutely awesome!!!!!! I’m so impatient for this!!!!I would suggest your normal package options, maybe starting with just the pressure washer, then escalating up with items: hose and reel, gun and wand etc. I think a lot may be looking at just the pressure washer and maybe the gun and wand set up? But I agree with the assembly. I like getting my stuff ready to use but I would enjoy putting it together for a savings as well. Maybe make that an optional detail?
@TyTyson986 жыл бұрын
I think maybe if you could offer the choice of having the hose shipped un-mounted would be fine. I think most of the community would enjoy assembling it. Also I love how excited you are about this stuff.

Right on time! I should be ordering my pressure washing system soon so I can start learning how to detail a car properly! Can't wait!
@2of2DCH6 жыл бұрын
Can't wait, although I'm only interested in the Kranzle, hopefully there's an option just for it. When the budget permits me to pick one up my plan would be to drill 4 holes into the shelf, remove the stand/chassis, and bolt the pump directly to the shelf. Get longer SS bolts from Ace, and it should look clean and tidy. If there are SS wingnuts it'd be somewhat quick and easy to remove if needed. Edit: IMO skip wrapping the hose on the reel.
@ObsessedGarage6 жыл бұрын
Yes, you will be able to buy everything separately if you want.
@gjodexter6 жыл бұрын
What about having the rubber isolator pads that attach the pump to the bar mount, to the shelf instead? I think your tie rap idea, the sheet metal slots may cut them as the pump runs. Make the shelf end supports attach at 16" in center so your are for sure to hit 2 studs.
@royemunson1006 жыл бұрын
Think it's very cool that you went to the company to see if they could redesign the way the pump doesn't have to run all the time. Then try to sell it the public at your store. It's great for a shop with a floor drain.

Great video Matt. This is an option I've been wanting. I was seriously considering the 1122TST but preferred a shelf-mounted unit with the possibility of taking it with you. All of the options that you mentioned would be great. I'm fine with doing the assembly myself. I agree on not using the Kranzle gun and wand and would much prefer the MTM setup with swivel connections. Basically anything you come up with is going to be well thought out with excellent specifications. Looking forward to it.

So glad I didn’t pull the trigger on the 1122tst from Detailers Domain for last week’s sale - I wanted that pump but the compactness of the 1622 setup. When the preorder goes live for the 1322 OG Spec I’ll definitely be on the list!

Thanks for the update Matt! I am looking forward to the 1322TS solution. The easier I can make setting up for the washing process, the more likely my vehicles will get weekly washes vs 2-3 weeks in between. I would assemble the hose and hose reel or any other components myself to save some money. Also, if we save you some time then we get to see "More Crazy"!

Offer it two ways, “ready to use” and “builders kit” for those that want to assemble it. I’m sure a sheet metal fabrication shop could make a nice stainless shelf with a quick release to hold the pump too.

Kevin Harsh from my experience you don't want the hose on the reel. It makes it virtually impossible to mount the reel on the wall.
@nickstopherd77626 жыл бұрын
The reel will be much harder, if not impossible, to mount with the hose already on it. I vote to let us roll up the hose ourselves. Not to mention the satisfaction most of us will get from rolling it up for the very first time.

A good option would be rubber coated J hook threaded bolt . You could use the same slots for zip ties or the j hook. If you are not going to move the pump much the J hooks look better then zip ties

Griots has a shelf with a lip as well that I was looking at. A lip on the top would work to keep it from vibrating off as previously mentioned. Maybe getting someone who does sheetmetal work to do a custom designed OG version would be cool.
@davidbeaver16416 жыл бұрын
No sweat on shipping the hose separate from the real. One consideration is to offer different hose lengths in the package especially with the pump being mounted. I have 50’ of hose on my pressure washer and it makes a world of difference getting around multiple vehicles and different areas without moving the pump. I second the comment about flipping the shelf upside down.
@ObsessedGarage6 жыл бұрын
My hose reels should be here next week, so I'll be testing lengths.

Jagatjit Dhillon trust me you don't want the hose on the reel before you mount the reel to the wall. It make it very difficult. Almost impossible actually.
@jdhillon7876 жыл бұрын
You raise a good point. If it's easier to mount on the wall without the hose, then obviously I'd prefer it not have the hose mounted. Thanks.

Great video Matt! I’ll definitely be adding one of these to my order.
@michaelg68606 жыл бұрын
I would prefer the hose not come on the reel and save your labor as well as most of us would probably want to wind it up differently or mounting it could make it easier not being on the reel.
@zachsgarage70046 жыл бұрын
Anyway you can make the color of the hose an option? I would love to buy the blue one more than the grey to be honest Edit: I also agree that you should skip wrapping the hose up. i think everyone can manage that on their own plus it'll save them a few bucks in the end. Plus I'm like you , I like putting things together on my own.

Go to your local Electrical Supply shop and pick up 4-Stainless Steel 3/4" 1-Hole Straps. With a 1/4' SS Self tapping screw or even drilling out a pilot hole and using a nut & bolt setup that should hold down the pump well.
@ObsessedGarage6 жыл бұрын
I've been thinking about that simple solution instead.
@rcobsesssed6 жыл бұрын
I’ve been waiting for this setup, looking forward to ordering from you. I personally prefer assembling myself, so putting hose on reel is not preferable.

Great work as always Matt, I'll be ordering the reel, hose & shelf to work with my Kranzle HD 10/122 TS (UK market model) and your complete Mosmatic Swiveling Sprayer & Wand with MTM Foam Cannon that I already have. I suspect there will be some demand for the hose & reel to come ready mounted & torqued but the main demand is likely for it to be delivered unassembled. So maybe offer it unassembled at a "standard" price and the hose & reel mounted & torqued option as an upgrade at extra cost?
@Antimatter.6 жыл бұрын

@kawi18296 жыл бұрын
Matt, in my experience save yourself the time and do not wrap the hose. I know the reel will be different than the MTM but I have the hose reel you have now and it's a nightmare to get a screw gun or wrench behind the bulk of the hose when you are trying mount it on the wall. I took mine down to paint the wall and didn't want to take the hose off because I had all the fittings taped. It was almost impossible. Can't wait to get my hands on this pump!
