Oh Lorrie, I was so happy to see that you are back in your home in Raiano. Try not to get too discouraged. Things in Italy move slowly and just keep telling yourself it will all be worth it in the end. You are so fortunate to have a home there. I believe you said before that you will be going back to the states for awhile. If so, enjoy your time with family and friends. Take care and safe travels. Anxious to see your updates on the progress when you have them.

@@SusanHayoz thank you so much for watching and commenting! ❤️❤️. We greatly appreciate it. We know it will all be worth it in the end, but this part of the journey is frustrating. We were planning to go to the states this year but we have had to postpone that until next year. We were hoping to be able to stay in our home and save money for 3 months. Since we now have to spend money traveling it will take us longer. When we leave here on Thursday we will be going to Montenegro for a month. Then we will be exploring eastern Europe until November. Thank you for your lovely words of encouragement. They mean more than you know! ❤️❤️

@@Where_in_the_world_are_we_now You both know what works best for you and Montenegro should be lovely and enjoyable. Budget is always worth paying attention to. Smart decision and you still get to explore and have fun. Wishing you the very best.

@@salvatoreemma thank you for watching and commenting. ❤️❤️. We hope so, too. The contractor told us the plumber can’t start on our house until February, so we just need to learn to be more patient. 🤷🏼♀️

@ Patience. Perhaps. Yes. In the States, for the most part, several months of waiting on things wouldn’t fly. But, different country - different standards… I’m working on Italian citizenship by descent so I can retire there soon. I say, soon, very loosely. That clock ticks slowly for me too.

@@salvatoreemma you are so right! We are constantly reminding ourselves: different country = different rules and procedures. We are so sorry. We have heard that is it taking longer and longer to get citizenship by descent. ☹️. Guess we are both in it the same situation. We both know it will be worth it in the end if we just wait (and live 😂🤣) long enough.
