I just received my kit yesterday and I cannot tell you enough how much I love all of the items! Especially the salve-it is so silky and moisturising. This entire kit is worth every dollar, and my natural manicure I did last night (using your lessons!) looks amazing. Thank you so, so much from South Carolina (USA).

I'm so glad you're exploring selling the salve. I received my kit a few days ago and I've taken that little pot of salve everywhere! I love that it isn't greasy, makes my skin so soft, and is far easier to use than oil. Magic. Although the scents sound lovely, I do appreciate the fragrance-free option.

Hello! I hope you had a good summer. I was looking forward to the end of August to place an order and it was not just for the limes and tools, but to try your ointment, which looks fabulous. I'm glad to hear you've decided to produce it commercially. I have absolute confidence in your knowledge and your formula. Since you mentioned that you are back on track, I am going to order your manicure kit right now but I am eager to see what the final commercial product will be like. As for the container, I love the can you use, it seems serious, clean and practical and very pretty. Regarding the price, I agree with other opinions that between €15 and €20 could be good. The issue of aroma is not important to me, I will be fine with whatever you choose. Congratulations on your success (and also on that beautiful dog 🥰). I will follow with interest the news that you tell us. A hug and see you soon. Isabel

I love the salve i received with my kit! I take it with me everywhere i go, which makes it so easy to moisturize whenever I wash my hands. My only complaint is that I only have one! I would, without a second thought, pay 15-20 USD each for an item of that quality. As far as fragrance, it's not a deal breaker for me one way or the other. Good luck with this journey, Salon Life fam! 😄

Hi Anna, This is great news. I just wanted to share why I haven’t yet placed an order. The price of the curette and pusher set was great but the shipping to me here in Brisbane Australia ended up taking the price over what I could pay for the same pieces myself (obvs not taking into account your balm or emery boards). Now I’d LOVE to support you and wonder if you are thinking of getting a supplier to stock your pieces here in Australia which would then make it more economical for us down here? Also, another thing that I would be SUPER keen to source from you if you could get a price that was either the same or better than I could get here and that is the oils you suggest doing a nail soak in (as in 250ml/500ml+ bottles of jojoba etc.) I thought you could sell the bottles and then do recurring orders for refills which would keep the cost down. You could look into sourcing some oils here as I know jojoba is a big thing in Oz. Anyway, hope this helps and that shipping can be made a bit better for us folk down here in Oz as I’d love to try your balm (fragrance free for me) and support you along the way. Best wishes, Amanda Edit: cost wise, I pay between AUD10 and AUD20 for niche 15ml organic cuticle balms here. Usually around AUD15 for the one I like best at the moment.

I love the nail salves and would pay up to $20. I have several and they do last a very long time. Currently I have two in use; one in my office and one in my bag, both are the original ones that have kind of a rosemary scent. If you use fragrance I would try them; fragrance free is also fine with me. The tin is perfect. Thanks Anna for all of your hard work!

In Europe, the Mavala cuticle/nail cream costs 23 euros, and the Dior cream costs 35 euros. I believe something in between would be good. Charge 5 euros more for the fragrance one. I’m really enjoying the salve and wouldn’t change a thing. I personally prefer unscented, I am very sensitive to scents. I would gladly pay $15 (US) but be willing to go to $20, possibly $25. I agree with another commenter that you should keep the current simple packaging and make a profit! Thanks for including it in the kit, I agree it’s so much nicer to use than the messy oil.

I want to try all the scents! They sound so clean, fresh, and not super heavy or artificial. For comparison, Burts Bee's (a mainstream, widely available brand across drug and box stores) cuticle cream is 5-7 USD, and LUSH's (much smaller, only sold in their retail stores) cuticle butter is 25 USD. I think this would be really appealing to all demographics in the 10 USD range but realistically I think with the high quality ingredients you are using, probably at the 20 USD end. I personally would pay in the 15-20 USD range :)

Just received my kit and came here immediately to tell you to make the skin and nail salve to sell! It's a perfect formula and I need a tin of it with me at all times. Many indie polish brands sell via preorder. So people pay and the brand makes however many total bottles are needed, plus a little extra. They advertise it’s a preorder and give the approximate time when shipping will begin. I don’t know how long the company will take to make your balms, but if it’s anywhere around 4-6 weeks, I don’t see why you can’t do a preorder. That way you’d get the money to pay the company to pay for them. I, personally, would be totally fine waiting 4-6 weeks before shipping begins, along as I know this when buying.
@TheSalonLife
@TheSalonLife Ай бұрын
Hi Sherri! It takes 2 months. And in order for me to proceed I have to pay in full (I think!). Some companies do half at the time of order and half at the time of shipping. That would be nice! I love the idea of preorder and this is what happened with our kits, they sold out in few days but the preorder allowed me know what kind of interest there is and although we just got the files (8000 pieces) we will be ordering more files now because they take a month to make. We so very much appreciated people preordering. Also this way things went smoother because we didn’t get 200 orders in 1 day 😅.

Realistically I would pay €12 for a product like this, that is considering that it's a small company, and consodering the "special" factor. Not to say that's what it's worth, but if it cost any more I would be a lot more likely to opt for a perhaps more mass produced €5 salve. That said, I'm in Hungary, I can see it sell for €20 to people who live in the more well-off european countries and are used to everything costing €20. Have you considered a twist-up lip balm type packaging for those with long nails?

Hi Anna, I love the kit - it has everything one needs for a home manicure kit - simple, streamlined and unfussy. Your salve is wonderful. I can tell you have worked really hard on it as it has a great consistency and I can see it becoming a staple product. When I compare it to a balm from a well influenced UK brand, which has a very strong smell, melts very easily and has a general gooey consistency, yours wins hands down. Unscented would probably appeal to a wider audience than fragranced. The brand mentioned above charges €22.50 for a 60ml tin. I would be happy to pay €25 for your salve. Thank you so much!

This is personal use only item :). Not for use in the salon. In the salon oil is more sanitary. But the good thing is that this does not contain water it does not grow bacteria. And this is supposed to be used after hand washing, this way it’s more effective as it seals the water in. But yes. I would not use it in the salon.

15-20 US dollars ... including shipping to US. I would personally order 6 at once for my sisters and me. Please offer scent-free as many of us have severe allergies to scents (and preservatives.). Please NO Mango & NO Grape ingredients as these plant-based ingredients have crept into the cosmetic industry and are exceptionally allergenic. Mango contains uroshiol and grape contains salicylilates, both of which trigger allergenic reactions. I am a retired FNP. I have followed your advice and transformed my nails. I adore and respect you.

Congratulations on your growing success, Anna! You absolutely deserve it. I would listen to the comments that are recommending the higher prices, if only because it's very easy for those of us who sell our own products and services to undercharge ourselves. You want to make back not only the cost of production, but you want to compensate yourself for your years of experience, your formula, etc. Also consider any time and labor you spend on presenting the product and shipping it out to customers. This is made by a small, local company (a good selling point, to be honest) using your custom formula, so it's basically a unique, artisanal product. Don't feel pressured to match the prices that mass production companies can pull off (as you said). 💖

I believe fragrance free is the only way to go. One does not count on your nails & cuticles for scents. As a small business, you get the best launch pricing for serious volumes. Don't risk having products NOT sell because of how it smells (quick turnover is the goal). As for pricing, I believe $10 USD is desirable. You make it accessible for people to try, and then get them hooked cause it's a quality product. High volume will make you the money!

$25. If the packaging is elevated. The fragrance is captivating. US. $$. Value package and pricing too. Example $25. Each. Or $45 for 2.

Hi! My salve sample is on the way right now and I am so eager to try it! 1. I also prefer scent free. I am sensitive to scents and quite frankly I really only enjoy coconut (out of all the scents you mentioned trying out). 2. I love the idea of having the product in a tin. I will for sure reuse mine. 3. Do you have a sample ingredient list, as it would be seen on the label? not your formulation obviously. I am not sure what the ingredients are so I am unable to fully judge, but if they are not filler then $20 USD (plus shipping) would be fair.

$15-$20 Australian dollars. I love the tin and the solid format which means it's not messy and I can put it in my bag. I'm happy with either scented or unscented.

In my uneducated opinion if you hold back on fancy packaging eg just focus on the little tin maybe make it beautiful so when you take from your bag people will ask oooh what’s that😊price well given that it lasts so long (maybe need to mention use up to ? Times a day this product on average will last for approximately 6 months ???) the product truly speaks for itself I suggest maybe less than 20$ but what do I know but 40$ a year sounds great! Best of luck 🙏🏽

I believe it will elevate your brand and create a loyal customer. I am excited for you!! From Southern California. ❤. Looking forward to ordering it soon.
