In this video Sarah Pooley, Dean of the University of Law, gives a concise description of the basics of the SQE (Solicitors Qualifying Exam) clearly outlining the foundations of legal knowledge and skills components that are being assessed and gives examples of the “single best answer” approach to the multiple choice examination approach. She answers questions on the nature of Qualifying Work Experience (QWE) and takes time to highlight the nature of exemptions from the SQE and QWE which is of use to already qualified lawyers including those from other international jurisdictions.
