To be honest my guy, I see where they're coming from. The high mileage and three times overheated. You say that there was no inconvenience to the customer because it's local, refunded and replaced vehicle but that's actually not correct. This happened to me during a Turo rental and it wrecked 1 day of a 4 day vacation. You say "it's three different issues" but that's not their problem and it's not the customer's problem.

Most of my older vehicles have high mileage, so that don't mean anything! Yes it overheated 3 times but that's over 6 months and multiple trips! It wasn't no inconvenience, 1 of my customers added coolant to the vehicle and was able to drive it back from out of town, my other customer was local and not to far away from my shop and I was able to do a vehicle swap for his remaining reservation!

Run the business. Can’t get attached to these cars. Best advice sell the car, trade it in to get one with lower mileage plus update to help service customers better, or use your cars with over 175k as private rental to keep making money I’ve been watch your fleet since you started most of your cars should be paid of so your profit margin is high on most cars. Always do what’s best for the business & the customer stop putting feelings into the business. It’s always a risk in business rent this car out private $399 weekly rate & a $50 daily rate

I quit TURO after they wouldn't hit up my customer for exsevie cleaning needed, pet hair and a multitude of other things they did to the interior.. Air bnb I bought a rental, one person rented it 10 ppl showed up.. Air Bnb won't help me at all.. I have proof from my ring doorbell camera that is stated in the listing... there all a like screw the host for there xhit customers

I just had a vehicle permanently unlisted about 15 minutes ago… I’m so confused. There is nothing wrong with this vehicle and it has 111k miles - and it’s a one owner car… has anyone been successful in having their vehicles relisted? I’ve started a claim and escalated it… but if there is no hope, I’m about to slap for sale sign on it so I’m no wasting my time.

The just unlisted my 2017 impala that hasn’t had any major problems. I had one guest complain about random things and said the brakes were squeaking in Oct of last year & they found out she was lying when I sent a video of her pulling back up to drop off and recorded another video the next day of me pulling the car in to the driveway with no squeaking. Second one was just saying one headlight went out. Car had a 4.93 rating and repeat bookings from multiple guest. I asked them to provide me with the maintenance complains which they can’t because it doesn’t exist. It just passed Turo inspection in April. It has 143k miles on it.

I think they doing this so if issues arise to make a claim for them to fix it they won’t have to cuz they have delisted it, it’s all maintenance related so in my opinion it’s the Turo financial analysts finding ways to cut costs and have less liability on their end

I just got alerted 2 days ago that both of my car are being delisted. I assure this is nothing to do with maintenance and high miles, cars will have issues. Both of my cars just had fresh Tune ups and no issues, currently. This is about getting newer cars with lower miles and compete with Hertz and others, this a cruel and cold decision. I will sell my cars and never recommend Turo. And will seek a class action lawsuit. The move is causing people significant hardship and financial problems.

Based off of your videos it seems you're bringing in alot of money but if you are in a similar boat finance wise with your other vehicles you may not be making that much due to high interest rates on your cars, you should run the numbers on all your cars to see where you are financially, are you in the green or red.?

I understand both ends. The unlist policy is too subjective/vague. I do get unlisting using a “3 strikes” rule. Else, customers could say “why are you allowing a vehicle that overheated 3x to be rented to people?” However, Turo saying due high mileage is concerning. Turo’s documentation doesn’t define high mileage to an existing car. So I get your point. You did everything right at least inspect the car for power hosts. Who’s to say other cars in the fleet would be randomly unlisted?.

Yes I totally agree, as long as the vehicle has under 130,000 miles when you first list you are grandfathered in, also everytime the vehicle overheated it was immediately fixed, also I have other vehicles with over 200,000 miles!

@@aarong9128 Some people have no credit to rent the traditional way so they’ll definitely rent this for $300 a week doing Uber . Only downside is it’ll take 18 months to get your money back but only other option is sell it for bout 10-12k and take the loss

Yes that's correct I made $51,607 in earnings since I had this vehicle, I paid $32,000 for it, but I did a 6 years loan and been making my minimum payment, that also don't include car insurance, maintenance, repairs, cleaning, etc!

My vehicle is safe and yes I had plenty of customers drive this vehicle to Florida and back without any issues! As I stated in the video, once I got this vehicle fixed I had several customers rent this vehicle and travel out of state and put over 1,000+ miles without any issues!

This is BS…they need to regulate all these industries. Just like any gig economy company making their own rules unsupervised. Like driving Uber and Lyft and getting deactivated all of the sudden. I see You are Very profesional but they don’t care…They collected the profits while you’re were drawing down on residual value and maintenance or cost or running a business including getting yourself paid for the effort, and you end up with negative equity and kicked out. These practices need to stop but there is very little efort to make these businesses play the fair game and not only dictate their own rules but also themselves follow the overall rules. Couldn’t wait to see the update and outcome thinking about getting into this because I own multiple personal vehicles sitting around, but aparently the risk is too high especially when you’re scaled up with loans and expenses to be paid. Turo should then rent their own cars, swap them at even lower mileage for new ones with the same result as hertz bankrupting themselves several times so far. It’s just a new space they are taking advantage of the little guy. As described above just like all gig companies do now days. Regulators need to step in…just imagine how much worse they’ll do when they’re publicly treaded and need to report to investors. Behavior will potentially change drastically and demands will grow.
