Sad fact is that people only hear what they want to hear. That's why Jesus said "Why do you not understand my speech??" That's because no matter what He said they were only hearing the version they wanted to hear of what He was saying. You can leave out one word and the whole context of what a person says changes... You can also add one word to what a person says and the whole meaning and context of what that person says changes. This happens with things I say constantly. People constantly misunderstanding. When they repeat what I say it's totally different than what I said.

I really enjoyed your other video and was convicted too. I agree we need more correct use of the words as God meant them to be used by folowers of Christ. I'm happy you will be doing more in-depth teachings on this. Where the Kingdom is there is also a King, yay!. And I agree with you that I don't believe there are demons tormenting people in Hades. I believe they're tormenting them right here on earth and right now because I certainly was tormented by them before I got delivered. And I see people that are tormented and I know people that are tormented right here and right now. But I see people getting delivered too, praise God!! I am curious on your thoughts about where Christians go when they die. I know you believe in heaven, which really is the Kingdom of God. I read that the 1st martyr Stephen saw the Lord above him and seem to be welcoming him home as it were. And then Moses and Elijah met with Jesus on the Mount of transfiguration. Which also tells me that those in Christ or the Kingdom of God (which will also be withen u, as Jesus said)who are dead are still connected to the Kingdom of God and his dear Son. I thought that it was thought provoking in a good way, to say, How do yiu cast Hell into Hell?...lol exactly...but how about Lazarus and the rich man? After both died. Who was in torment of flame (not demons mind you) and Lazarus who was now comforted by Abraham? How might we look at that too, to have a better understanding of the kingdom of God and hades or a place of present fire? Appreciate your studying on these and helping us find answers, particularly with the translations and false doctrines of other churches. Thank you again and God bless.

Read in 1 Peter 3:18-22 which people Jesus went to in Hades. Verse 19+20 tells us about this.

Who wants to bother so much try to understand the difference between Hades/Gehenna/outer darkness/hell/Sheol etc... etc... all of them are common to each other that is seperation from God and without God there is spiritual eternal torment. The bible clearly says in Hebrew 9:27-28 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. This means that every mortal human being will die one day or the other and immediately after we are judged where our soul enters untill the white throne judgement. There are only two waiting places for a soul when it leaves the body either to a place of rest( heaven/paradise/blossom etc..etc...) or to the place of darkness/torment/ without God's presence (hell/Sheol/Gehenna etc..etc..) So today is the day of salvation and running the good race. Narrow it the way that leads to eternal life and broad is the way that leads to destruction. Personally I wouldn't care much how the hell looks like or how it feels like. Just by knowing that it is a place for the chained fallen angels and the angel of death ( Hades in Greek) guarding that place is already so terrifying without even wanting to know if there is literal torturing or other stuff going as described by some NDE's. The bottom line is that God's fear is the beginning of wisdom. Judgement is judgement so be ready to be judged either to salvation or condemnation. It's scary to hear the truth but the truth doesn't change by comforting our ears by some soft preaching. This world is full of broad way preaching which keeps people with one foot in the world and the other foot in the church. We cannot effort to be double minded in these last days. 1st death (Judgement) or 2nd death (judgement) both are still a judgement which will lead the lost unsaved souls to be cast into the lake of fire 🔥 at the end along with the antichrist, Satan and false prophet. So what does it even matter if sooner or later the unsaved souls destination is to be burned with unquenchable fire 🔥. It's clear as black or white, believe it or deny it heaven and hell are both real in which ever form, shape, definition, imagination or description you want it to be. Peace and grace 🙏

Hell is a pagan word/concept from the pagan greek mythology, that found its way into the bible through early catholicism primarily, for reasons primarily to do with converting people to the faith through fear.

God doesn't send anyone to 'hell'. It just doesn't say it anywhere. Regarding the 'eternal punishment', it is not endless suffering in hell or some place. Read scripture carefully. The punishment is eternal, not the punishing. As compared with fire that consumes something but is then completed.

@JaredMillerDrums you misunderstand me. I wasn't disagreeing with what you said. I'm just explaining the root source of the English word. However, Jesus is clear that there is a Lake of Fire and anyone who doesn't have their name written in the book of Life will be sent there, as it says in Revelation and the Gospels. Also, it is a spiritual place and, therefore, not a physical. Be careful that you don't undermine what Jesus is teaching by viewing it from a modernist point of view. The Gospel has been watered down today, and the word hell has just complicated what Jesus Christ and the Apostles actually taught. The point of the video above is that there's several words in Greek and Hebrew that give the actual meaning, whereas the writers of the KJV have just confused the issue with the help of the Agustinian theology.

Why is the idea of heaven incongruent with a new Earth? To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. There is a concept of sleeping, when the spirit leaves the body. Heaven could be a place where one dreams with God. Until the resurrection of the body. And who's to say dreams aren't more real than the physical realm. Remember God is a spirit. Things that are seen were made by things that are not seen.

Is the lake of fire forever? Or are people eventually destroyed? God is the sustainer of all things, so you and I can only exist because He sustains our atoms. He sustains the entire creation so that things are stable and not constantly breaking apart in chaos. That being said, if the lake of fire is eternal, it means that God is forever sustaining the existence of the unrighteous to be burned eternally, which also means God's wrath is eternally kindled. It's a very frightening thought! I hope that God has mercy on the wicked and allows them to completely perish after they have received their just punishment.

NKJV says: "Then Death and HADES were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death." (Rev.20:14 nkjv) Just thinking: is there any truly English word for a Greek word "hades"? Maybe "underworld"? In our Finnish language here we actually have words for both gehennah & hades >> helvetti & tuonela.

I read the gospel of Nicodemus, i dont know if it is true or not, but it is interesting, it is about when Jesus died, temple of God splitted in two and saints resurrected from the dead. One of the saints are Simeon's two sons, they were resurrected after the resurrection of Christ. Simeon is the one who bless Jesus in bible. Two sons testified about Jesus went to Hades and met Beelzebul the prince of hell and satan. Jesus came to set the saints free from Beelzebul, they were Adam, John the baptist, Isaiah, king David and others. They were in prison. Then Beelzebul cant stop Jesus. All prison were opened and Jesus brought Adam and other saints out to paradise where Enoch, Elijah and Dismas the robber on the cross welcome them. And after the two sons of Simeon testified that they vanished and went to paradise. You can believe it or not, but it is interesting, how wonderful Jesus was when He was in Hades. God bless.

It is good to speak of this, Torben. I think it is is however, unwise to put people off from reading the KJV. You seem to have a bias against the KJV. I understand that the KJV could be confusing with the word "hell" at times (just like the word "wine" is used generally, when they have different meanings. People need to sonetimes see the original meaning of the words (Hebrew or Greek). The other English Bible translations are not accurate and far inferior to the KJV. So one has to be careful.

Torben is a great guy but he is very confusing. I agree with him that NDE's are not experiences that anyone can trust. Doctrine can only be formed from interpreting the bible correctly. Do not be deceived by what the mind can do when in certain states at all, nor shall we trust even an angel (Satan can come as an angel of light) - without testing what your experience by scripture. The afterlife is something few Christians study. I have spent 40 years studying the bible. I am a pastor also. What most of us have been taught is dogma, just as the Catholic church teach purgatory, Protestants etc can be guilty of the same type of thing a lot of time. God is not an ogre.

Begin to also study and tell the truth about biblical creation. If you take the Bible literal for what it really says you will know that we are not on a spinning ball. The sun and the moon move, the earth doesn’t move. The earth is fixed and at rest, immovable.
