Took my test on Friday and passed on my first try thanks to Rizwan! I had a lot of highway practice between my G2 and G test so I only did one class with Rizwan and it made a big different! He shared a lot of valuable tips and went through every possible route for the G Test at the Oshawa Drivetest centre. As of now, the Drivetest centre is still doing the modified G test and it’ll most likely be like this for a while. On my test, I only had to do main road driving, lane changes, highway merging/driving/lane changing, and a front park in the Drivetest lot. No neighbourhood driving, no parallel parking, no emergency stop, no 3-point turn, etc. Thanks Rizwan!

Hello, I took my test early this morning and PASSED. Took a similar route. Tip: PRACTICE your butt off. It will pay off 😊 I practiced 4 hrs straight taking different routes in the area and also 3pt, parallel etc even though they did not request I do them. Best of luck to those going for your G 😊

For the G test, no reverse park, 3 point turn or emergency stop. G test has been modified since the pandemic to only test highway concepts. In the end though, I was asked to park head-in.

Took 2 sessions with Rizwan and he helped me pass my G test. He's very good at building confidence in his students and provides valuable knowledge and tips that will help you pass your test. This route was almost exactly where the examiner took me, but instead of Ritson exit, we exited at Simcoe St. At the time that I took my G (Feb. 3/23), the test is still modified so no neighbourhood driving. I passed my G test today at the Oshawa upper mall center and this is the exact route the examiner took me. Literally the highway is not even a 5 minute drive make sure you keep looking at your mirror every 8 second literally because I thought I was looking often but when my test ended the examiner told me I needed more observation 😂 but I passed ! I got to the center an hour earlier and followed the route to practice like twice so it was good 👍 it’s still modified testing .

Passed G test today 20-10-2023. Same road with this video and when you turn left after the drive center, the speed is 40km/h, and after the bridge, it still keeps at 40km/h. No parking U turn test.

Ive had this question for G-test...especially on the highway...on the 401, although the posted speed limit is 100kmph, most drivers go at almost 120 kmph most times even in the rightmost lane, in that case, say you were to merge onto the 401 and: 1) the car behind you and the car that just went past you, were going at 120, then do you also go at 120 or their speed ? so as to not block traffic? or do you still merge and drive at 100kmph? 2) say you merged onto the 401 and you left merged onto another lane (as the examiner instructed you to) and on that lane, cars behind you and after you were going at more than 120 kmph, do you match up to their speed? or go at 100 kmph? 3) say you drive at the posted max speed limit (100 kmph), and the car behind honks at you, do you get points deducted/ fail?

@@minamina6112 the route was almost the same except i entered the test center from the opposite direction. I entered highway in about 85/90 km /h. the road conditions were good, I didn't really had to slow down alot.

if you’re stuck in a situation where you can’t safely change lanes on the highway, and the exit is quickly approaching, is it alright to just not make the lane change at all? especially since the examiner will request to make the change when it’s safe… what if it’s never safe at all during the limited time you’re on the highway?

Eastbound fr Stevenson rd exit to 401 lane changes fr right to left & critically back to right & exit @ Simcoe rd is very2 tricky considering the overall shorter distance fr Stevenson to Simcoe rds. (takes only 7 sec fr overhead exit sign board to start of exit broken lines to Simcoe rd)

@@smithagemini For my G test no, just had to follow the route shown in the video. However, highway was a bit busy so I didn't do any lane changes on 401, then I had to reverse park twice (once on right side of parking lot, then backing into original spot right before test ended)

Yes, you can increase, but it depends on the situation!! Try to do merging within the speed limit if not possible, then adjust your speed accordingly...

Nice video 👍 On a road test the amber light should be considered a red light. At the end you went through the amber light just before arriving back at the Drivetest centre. Most examiners would have failed the driver for this mistake

Hai there I had my g test there at oshwa. While exiting at the stop sign I stopped complety before the line waited for 10 seconds since cats were there. And like this in the video I slowly rolled my car forward when there was a car almost done with main intersection. Just rolled as the same in the video since it was a slight steap at stop sign.. the instructor straight away pressed my break pedal and yelled at me I did not give right of way. When I clearly showed with my head and understood I saw the car comming and was aware of the car . He did not let me complete the entire route and came back to drive test and failed me because of that. I always feel if they don't want you to pass then that's it. There is no option to counter them. Really felt frustrated. I know rolling is not good. Buy stoping there for 15 seconds and then rolling as the same as in the video doesn't makes it wrong I suppose. I had the same instructor... i feel like you did everything right, I even did the same thing, stopped atleast a few seconds on a red stop sign then creep up, wait until it's clear, look left right left a few times, then go, examiner 496 is really rude.. He hit the dashboard and shouted at me. I wonder if I can turn right there if the road is clear. He was so rude during the test. I merged the highway with 80 and he did the same thing. He made me over stressed during the test.

@@andresalejandrojatarguido919 I passed! Even though it was raining and I never drove on the 401 in the rain I did it. No parking still. The only thing he emphasized at the end of my test is to make sure you get up to 100km before you merge. The first time I was trying to get on early and was only doing 90km. But second time I did it perfect so thats why he passed me. I guess it's like they give you two chances to get it right merging onto the highway. Also the first time was too busy to get into the middle lane and told me to just exit.
