Hi I tried to prepare the pattern following your instruction. The C-B/C-D distance on the trank pattern is longer then the trumb one. The first one is in fact a straight line the lenght of the thumb width, the second is a diagonal line with a base equal to the thumb width, and therefore longer. Shouldn't they be samme lenght? How can I manage it? Thank you, I really like your tutorial.

Is this pattern good for any fabric? For a leather?
@alexschubert97687 ай бұрын
This video is great! thank you! will that pattern also work for fabric gloves or will I need to adjust the movement allowance?

would this pattern also work for stretch gloves for a tight but still comfortable fit?
@julietagomez-frittelli17412 жыл бұрын
thank you for the detailed tutorial! near the beginning when you were adding width to the trank pattern, why did you decided 2.2cm out of the 4cm for the pointer finger and small finger? in the instruction you just said "most of" so why 2.2cm exactly? I'm trying to figure how much of my own to allot for the PF and SF vs the MF and RF. thanks!
@UPANDFORWARDgloves2 жыл бұрын
Hello, thanks for asking. In this case you will need to estimate the amount you give to the PF & SF. when you divide the 4cm between the fingers; the amount you give to the PF & SF should be more than the amount you give to the MF & RF, but don't give too much to PF&SF because the portions should still look around the same size. This is the reason I gave 2.2cm to PF&SF and 1.8cm to MF&RF, the portions still look around the same size.

26:44 is this two centimeters towards the center line, or is it the circumference again?
@UPANDFORWARDgloves8 ай бұрын
Which two centimeters are you referring to?
@wanderingintheabyss8 ай бұрын
From the point to the center line.
@UPANDFORWARDgloves8 ай бұрын
@@wanderingintheabyss Ok. That 2cm is not a circumference. It is the width of the pointing finger ( the flat measurement of the pointing finger). Yes, it is measured from the center line.

where is one point five added to two point five centimetre coming from
@UPANDFORWARDgloves2 жыл бұрын
Hi, I've explained those numbers in the video as well. The 2.5cm is the difference between the hand circumference and the width of the hand. While the 1.5cm is the movement allowance you add to the glove for ease movement of the hand within the glove. So, the 1.5cm is added to the 2.5cm.
@UPANDFORWARDgloves2 жыл бұрын
The movement allowance (1.5cm) is added to prevent a tight fit. Otherwise if you are looking for a tight fitting glove, you can leave the movement allowance out.
