The first time I saw someone with Chinese display name was on 2021. And i tried so hard to do the same back then but i failed dozen times. Because someone said, they were already patched on 2021 few months after the display name was released. I did some tests and I found out that you don't actually need to change your account's location, but your account's birth date, it needs to be 17+ to be able to do this. If you ever try making an alt account for this, put it on 2007 or below, it works for me.
