My wife and I were just on Mardi Gras this month. I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who was underwhelmed with the buffet. We tried it one night for dinner and didn’t go back. The Bonsai Teppanyaki was underwhelming also. Small space and was just very loud and very chaotic. Each chef had to yell louder than the other ones standing 10’ away. We’re used to Symphony and Harmony. You never realize there are that many people because everything is spread out. The Promenade is wide, not split like MG. We stayed in an Exel Suite. I have to say it was the nicest room we have ever stayed in. It had complimentary room service (including fruit every day) and complimentary unlimited laundry. It was so nice to go home with a clean suitcase of clothes. Thanks for your views and validating me to my wife lol

It seems we are on the same page! We liked the Mardi Gras, but loved the Harmony. We are on the Inaugural sailing of the Icon and really excited to see how it handles the crowds.

@AshleyShannon-ir2ye We were on the Mardi Gras in February of last year with a similar itinerary and weather was great. Still gets very warm. Water wasn't cold. It was pretty perfect.

First of all your daughter would drive me crazy always asking what was in each kind of food. Sounds pretty needy. Whatever. I know what you’re saying about Grand Central. But we had good seats for a couple of shows and we really enjoyed it. The casino/showroom area is very congested. Buffet food is pretty plain overall on all buffets. The Fahrenheit steak house was awesome. Great steak and best Mac and cheese ever! The piano bar piano guy is the best I’ve ever heard! You guys are enjoyable to watch and listen to. Oh yeah, Kendall Fire is my 2nd favorite ever behind Lawrence on the Breeze.

Lol!! You're right about our daughter....she does drive us crazy sometimes! 🤣 We might have to check out the Fahrenheit steak house, that sounds so good! We kind of think the same thing. We don't know if they are just being sneaky and pushing people to more of the pay options. But either way we always found enough to eat when we went to the buffet!

It’s mostly because people are so wasteful when they don’t have yo use their own money . I’ve seen so many people ordering food they can’t finish .

If you get a chance go on a cruise fir Halloween. We did our first last Halloween. The bad thing was it started raining and they moved it to the 3rd deck where the bar is so it was packed but man they had some awesome costumes. Me and my sister dressed up as Ghostbusters I had two proton packs we brought and everything. We didn't stay fir the costumes contest because it was so packed and hot.

Yeah. The Bolt while cool, just is to expensive for us to do more than once. And between the weather issues and the ride just breaking down all the time. It can be very disappointing!

I think so. The Oasis class ships seem to spread it out better to me. My biggest example would be the Promenade on Oasis is so wide, where Grand Central the walking area is so tight. Harmony felt bigger to us.

We found usually was a vegetarian option. She should have gone to the dining room the first day and worked out a menu with them.

Excellent review video guys! Totally agree with you on so many things. The lack of options at the buffet on the newer ships is disapointing, especially as Vegans... many times there was not one item we could eat besides salad, even the veggies were cooked with animal products. LOVE Blue iguana... I get a bean and rice burrito every day at lunch AND they have vegan cheese now so that was a bonus! We were not too impressed with the shows either and the long lines for shows and never getting a seat in the middle show space. Not a fan of that middle show set up either. It is pretty and cool factor but not enough seating for how many people they have on the ships. We love the comedy shows too although you have to wait in line a longer than the actual show, and yes it really does hold alot more people that it looks like. Late night in the theater was great! Watching & Supporting in full!

Maybe so, but she ate everything when she was a kid. She's an adult now, so it's really her choice. But yes...sometimes it can be annoying..lol!
