Thank you so much for your detailed video! I'm planning on permanently moving to Japan (first studies and then work) and I really want to bring my cat. This really helped to ease my worries and now I feel better prepared to make the right preparations for the move. Thank you so much!!

Thanks so much for this video. I'm moving to Japan in March but I want to bring my cat later on next year after I get myself situated there in place that allows cats. I read in Japan cats aren't allowed in the cabin. I'll be going to some place near Shiga (not entirely sure yet waiting on my exact location placement) and the closest airport in that area is Nagoya. I also read that cats are allowed in trains. So I'm wondering what would be the best way to transport her from Tokyo (since that's usually where international flights land in first) to another city. If you have any advice on that I would really appreciate it!

Do you know if you're able to bring wet cat food for once you land? It can help get water to your cat if they're too stressed out to drink water

Hi! Thank you so, so much for your video. It really relives me, that you had such a long flight with your cat and everything went well. I am going to move to Japan this year and I was really worried about wether I should take my cats with me or not. I am not sure yet, if I can take them in cabin or if they need to go to the cargo area since they are quite big cats.. But seeing that your cat is all fine really eased my worries. Also, I love that you thought about taking a travel cat toilet, that's a great idea! Greetings from Germany :)

Thank and good luck with your move! I’m really glad I bought the potty because she used it about 5 times throughout the trip. There’s nothing worse than cat pee smell!

Never heard of 6 month quarantine. 🤔 How do they check your cat and documents from usa?

Thank you very much for creating this video. It is very helpful!! What are the detentions of the carrier? I am moving to Japan in a month or two and I am very nervous about taking my cats to in cabin since my carriers are a bit bigger than the requirements by just a couple of inches, but they are soft kind.

Hi! Thank you soooo much for your videos! I am leaving for Japan from Tennessee in a year and a half. I plan on bringing my cat, Maple. Can you pretty please inform me of which forms of paperwork I should begin first? I want to start as early as possible. Thank you so much!
Thank you for the info, to get my cat to drink more water I add water to the moist cat food.

Im trying to take my cat to Hong Kong... You can fly with your cat in cabin? Im terrified and everyone says give up my cat, but I want to think its possible to bring him (very sad)

Yes, most airlines let you travel with a small pet in cabin! Each airline has different rules, though. I hope you can bring your cat!

Hii your video was super helpful :) I was just wondering is the place you’re living in rented out? If so, is it normal to be able to find a place that allows pets?
@SaraSprout3 жыл бұрын
I own a house so it wasn’t a problem for me, but I’ve heard how difficult it was to find a rented place that accepts pets. Cats and small dogs are easier than big dogs, I guess

Thanks for the great video! One question, did you have to fill out a document called ANNEX? It's supposed to confirm that the pet has not been in contact with other animals during the travel.

This form doesn’t look familiar to me. It seems this is required if you’re using a pet transportation service?

Hi, thank you for all informations! Appreciate that! In japanese airport are they checking condition of your cat? Like ears, teeth etc. or they just check papers, documents? Thank you in advance for an answer :)

They didn’t, they just checked her paperwork which didn’t take long since they were expecting me :)

Hi, I have 2 questions if you can help me? 1. What is the brand of carrier you used? 2. At the airport when you need to take out the cat from carrier for inspection, what did they check on the cat? Is it just a quick walk through and put back in carrier?
@SaraSprout2 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late response! It was a generic brand on Amazon. When I took her out, it was a quick walk through the metal detector (because pets can’t go through the baggage scanner). It would’ve been quicker but the employees wanted to take her photo 🤣

thank you for sharing this video... soon i will take my cat from korea to europe which is 11 h flight + 4 h layover + 1 h flight and 3 h car ride... its amazing that your cat went to toilet in plane toilet 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 just question you wasnt thinking about sleeping pills?
@SaraSprout3 жыл бұрын
My vet recommended no sleeping pill for her. They can cause an adverse effect, so if your cat is normally calm, sleeping pills could make them riled up. Also, it can decrease their body temperatures. Most airlines don’t even allow you to give a pet sleeping pills nowadays

Does you cat hiss during anxiety? Was it easy to get your cat out of her cage for security check? My cat hisses when she has anxiety so I am dreading my travel with her to India. Can you please tell me a little more about security clearances? Would they do a security check without having to take her out of her cage?
@SaraSprout2 жыл бұрын
She didn’t! There were times she meowed because she needed to pee, so I knew when to take her to the bathroom and let her use the litter box. So security will tell you take your pet out of the carrier because an animal can’t go through the baggage scanner

I was reading that the flight had to be less than 12 hours for them to be allowed to come, is this not true?
@SaraSprout3 жыл бұрын
It will depend on the airline’s policies! My first flight was almost 14 hours and they didn’t say anything. I heard others don’t allow pets if it’s over 8 hours!
