NOTE: You can get research by giving (insert amount of money) to a country, but only during attack phase and if you already haven’t got sent money that round. EDIT: You also can’t send money to 50 countries, you have to send all of it to one country.

Democracy: Plus 1 extra political power and 1 extra resource per turn Non-Aligned: Same as Democracy Communism: Plus 2 extra resource per turn (no political power boost) Authoritarian: Plus 2 extra political power per turn (no resource boost)

Maybe a late reply, but if you mean getting rid of the flags on top of territories, all you have to do is click the white flag in the bottom right corner.

When you're creating a map, look at the top right. You should see a cog wheel, press/click that then adjust the dates, then push save. Unfortunately there is a glitch and you will have to put it in in between every use of that map.

You can make their productivity low by promoting ideology - causing them to have a revolution eventually (alternatively, countries under them will declare independence), similarly, promoting ideology will also tilt them towards your ideology and, if they don't have a revolution will have a peaceful coup take place.

Yes - a silver city equals one more resource, a golden city equals two more. Resources are delivered per turn (one purchase, move, and attack phase).
