When the stats show a controller with a little plastic analog stick is more accurate according to the data compared to a mouse then you know there’s a problem with the amount of aim assist controller has, personally I’m all about raw human aim with no ai help on mouse but with the amount of aim assist controller has I’ll take this especially in close range fight where you will almost always lose due to the impossible human reaction time you need for strafe change speed that only AI implemented assistance can beat

Consider FOV as well. Maximum fov will give you more peripheral view, but enemies will be smaller, thus harder to hit. And with aimbot controllers, you gotta hit your shots. And the crosshairs are giant and not very good. And more peripheral view isn't as useful if your teammates actually communicate. I think 100-110 is a good sweet spot.

I feel like the higher FOV forces you to move less because everything is so small. For me, that helps with my aim. But I'm bad, so I'm not exactly the example people should use.

You can use the setting "hold to zoom" + legacy and thatll get you what you're looking for. So, instead of "toggle" it'll be "hold"

Probably use a controller. For MnK I would do Kovaaks scenarios. The more time you put into Halo so long as it is deliberate practice, you'll see improvement. Do your best to be smooth with your aim rather than constantly over correcting. Smooth and patient aim wins.

Try raising your 1.4 zoom sensitivity to and try to keep a calm movement with your mouse. Be smooth with your reticle. This has helped me out a ton when I forget to do this

It's a good tradeoff I think, controller players still have the advantage of one handing shootouts, while kbm has to implement another thing to just keep up. A lot of people aren't going to switch back, it will only bring back some kbm players.

I've spent time talking to many PC players this past year and they all say the balancing was an issue and that's a big part of why they left. Unfortunately, I just don't think many people are aware of this update.

I imagine once they see the playerbase on PC go up and it's not breaking the competitiveness of the game (especially since the game has SBMM), they are going to find it won't be financially smart for them to revert.

Bro it’s so sad KBM players pride itself themselves on precision and accuracy but cry when mechanics are not “balanced” sounds like people can not aim on KBM and they got exposed coming to a real FPS with established players. “We need everything they have plus the advantages that come with the kbm to even be on the same level” … Such a lazy fraction of players, join the pros wining about sandbox and everything else. I get what you’re saying, but kbm players just wanted the console players to NOT have the heavy aim assist, because it DOES take more skill to get kills without it. You’re saying PC players are mad because we don’t have the same aim assist which is so far from the truth. We just want it removed…but then console wouldn’t have a chance.

One quick thing here. You mention "console players" but 90% of the PC community chooses to play with controller when they have every opportunity to play with a mouse. Same is true for console as well. If anyone here on either PC or console wants to give mouse a try, I encourage it. You'll have quite an eye opening experience

For me personally…with the mouse, in spastic moments it keeps up more with what I’m trying to do in my mind where as my thumbs on a controller can’t keep up. @@HaloDaycare Yes, because they are too lazy to hone their craft. Most KBM players have the luxury of huge online player bases when it comes to FPS, and a ton of noobs to play against. This is why they cry when they come to Halo. You are playing a dedicated community base, some since day one. One it’s harder to play hard people, and two they have only played on controller. KBM players generally have this idea that it’s the best and the only way to play. But when they are getting wrecked they switch. Instead of exploiting the benefits of KBM and practicing what did they do.. go to controller.. And complain.. I would not care if kbm and controller was spec for spec more sim assist or less sim assist, my shot is always going to be better. I feel like most KBM players are high plat / diamond players that just think they are onyx players due to wrecking larger communities of noobs from huge player bases.
