I agree with your assessments almost completely with the exceptions of the characters. There is are several other KZbin Content Streamers like yourself that cover Dragon Age 4: Veilguard. At least in two of them I found that they were changing out their character combinations often and through that there was a lot more interesting conversations that would happen as well as conflict between the characters themselves that in some cases, you as Rook would have to help resolve. Additionally, I experimented with different combinations of Race, Gender, and Factions to see which ones produced the best conflict in the stories. I have played all the Dragon Age Series and so like some of the others that past knowledge of the lore armed with the ability to find one that I am sticking with for my first play through. That is an Elf, Male, Mage who is a Warden. For those who know the lore and past of the previous games. This combination in particular produces a lot of conflict and interesting dialog with outcomes that are different. I've in general believed that your content is good and it has helped me to understand different approaches in terms of playing the game. I would like to suggest you try switching your combinations of who your companions are often and see where the conflict and the interesting dialogs happen. I wish you the best in your adventures and look forward to seeing other content related to Dragon Age in the future. I would encourage you to go back at some point and play the whole series. There are mod packs available I know for Dragon Age Origins which are very good, lots of mods that can enhance your game play experience for both Dragon Age 2 and Dragon Age 3. "May your journeys in life help you to discover moments of experiences that become treasures that sustain you in happiness all the days of your life!"

Also did about 100 hours with 2 classes, and had loads of fun exploring and upgrading. I enjoyed it even more than BG 3, so sad that everyone is slamming this FUN game.

lightning spellblade is so much fun :D ♥ never gets old to have actual lightning blasts glue enemies to the floor. also agree overall the game is very comfy and high QoL, the setpieces for the missions are beautful imo. big improvement on that end. thanks for the updated impressions

Ice Mage is absurdly broken, but you have to build it right. Neve has a piece of gear that makes it go from 10/10 to 11/10 as well. I was routinely hitting the damage cap with my smaller AOEs and erasing entire screens of enemies with my bigger AOE spells. This was on Underdog (2nd highest difficulty). Lucanis is great for filling ult insanely fast too, which helps keep enemies controlled while you obliterate them.

Good god, why does his (presumably) female character run like a roided up bodybuilder? Who created the run animations? Have they never seen a female athlete run?

Same people that think females can hold their own in a sword fight.

I’m a Dragon Age fan so the story and world building is obviously already great in my eyes, but the loot system in this game keeps me coming back for replays. Factions also add a lot of dialogue to the game which has added quite a bit of replay value.

How in the actual F did you manage to get 100 hours in this game? I played like 50 hours on my first character, and it was so bland and boring, I did like 99% of the content and I can only agree the visuals are amazing, the combat is fun (although without strategy) and the game runs great on PC. But a second playthrough? Why? The story is bland, options are non existent. Companions are forgettable and can't die. Your actions never impact anything significantly. In one playthrough you can do everything unless you seriously out to fck up things.

Companions can in fact die... Your choices change the ending.

At least one of your companions HAS to die, even on the "best" ending. And you can definitely lose more.

Wukong is the ONLY souls like game I like. Mainly because armor progression feels rewarding with stats/ perks similar to Nioh and Wo Long. Main reason I dislike Elden Ring is because armor progression is so boring in terms of player power. No stats, no perks, no set bonus, only X defense... BORING
