You taught me how to detangle my hair without a lot of breakage…twisting with the conditioner is genius. I have very fine hair and it detangles so much when I wash my hair it’s like a mop. I get a lot of breakage whenever I wash my hair. I use my fingers to detangle the hair bcaz it’s so fragile I could never find a brush that works for my hair. I’m definitely trying it your way, thank you so much!

I too “hate my natural hair” ✋🏾😂 and stay in really small braids most of the time. I’m skurred to condition with the braids in, let alone deep condition bc I don’t want to leave product in when I keep my braids in for a few months at a time maybe. Any advice? Open question to the sista babes too - do y’all condition with your braids in? TIA🤎
@Randomperson16-q4j2 жыл бұрын
Yep. I wash, deep condition and moisturize every week. I oil my scalp at least 2-3 times a week. My hair has always been fine. In fact, my hair is really soft and healthy when I take my braids down. It's not a protective style if your not taking care of your hair underneath. Also, remember to make sure you dry your braids. Don't go to sleep with it wet. That'll cause them to smell.

My sister has hair like yours but doesn't take care of it. She's left it for 2 years without washing and it was matted and crusty. I ended up having to cut out most of her hair. I sent her this video hoping she can learn from you. I especially hope she learns to love her hair.

@chelseaharris27812 жыл бұрын
well her hair butters are meant to seal in moisture for lasting moisture and that would help to thicken your hair and her oils would moisturize your scalp and essentially grow hair. i ordered her herbal heaven bundle (it’s a herbal infused hair butter and herb infused oil) and i’m going to be using it for the first time this week and put my hair in flat twist or cornrows and have a wig over it. you could do tons of protective styles. she also have 4 different hair butters and two oils but restocks december 9th, hope that helps

I have about as much hair as you but not your length. I really want to grow my hair out but I dont know how. All I know is that I have high-porosity hair
@caramelese8520 Жыл бұрын
The key to growing out your hair is length retention. You can try protective styling as it helps a lot because you are not manipulating your hair but how you take down the hairstyles matters too or if you want to style everyday, do low manipulation hairstyles. I think for high porosity, butters would be good for your hair. Also if you don't finger detangle, make sure you get the right tools e.g wide tooth comb instead of the narrow ones. Also trimming helps to remove split ends hence reduces breakage.

Hi, question what do you do after you have finished washing your hair? I really don't know what to do, do I add in some hair milk/ cream when the hair dries? I'm absolutely stumped 😭😭
@bangtanrandom75512 жыл бұрын
Heyyy, I would suggest you apply the hair milk/cream when your hair is either dry or slightly moist. Do you know your hair porosity?👀
@bee124522 жыл бұрын
Usually people use a leave in conditioner after wash day followed with some kind of styling cream and finished with a sealant like an oil, butter, or grease.
@caramelese8520 Жыл бұрын
I use a moisture milk and then oil after allowing my hair to dry for 30 minutes, it is still damp ( low porosity) so I use the moisture milk and oil to lock in moisture on wash day( LCO) and I put it in twists . I feel the moisture milk is better for my hair because it's low porosity. I had a thick leave in conditioner before and it wasn't really working. Butters are better for higher porosity hair. On other days, I just spray with water and put a little bit of the moisture milk and finger detangle/fluff the hair.

Why use conditioner first?
@ZiahZ2 жыл бұрын
Because she is using the condition solely to detangle, not to condition. I do the same because for people with thick hair and/or tightly coiled hair, it makes the wash process much easier. If she were to shampoo immediately, it is very likely that her hair would’ve been harder to detangle because that has definitely happened to me.
@londynaw17212 жыл бұрын
@@ZiahZ so we should condition shampoo condition then deep condition??
@ZiahZ2 жыл бұрын
@@londynaw1721 no. You would condition (detangle), shampoo, then deep condition. I typically detangle in sections, twist those sections, shampoo in the twists, apply my deep conditioner, then apply my leave in or cream styler to my hair that way it limits how much my hair will tangle
