I have a rescue who is 2 years old, he’s ears are completely down but he’s ears stood until he was a year old, he can still put them up when he is alert but the tips bends forward is that still fixable or will he just always have them that way? / sorry for my bad English I’m Swedish and cropping and taping isn’t that known of here so I’m trying my best to figure things out 😅

Nothing I do ever stays as far as a post. Glue doesn’t even stay. The bottoms Pop out. And yes I’m pushing them in far. I guess my pup went through surgery for nothing. Poor thing.

The surgery has to be done while they're still puppies, about 7 - 9 weeks old. After the ears heal, then you can start posting. Any later than that is too late. The cartilage is too hard.

As a vet who does ear crops, may I also add that, on an older dog, the surgery is much messier, bloodier, and the recovery is more painful than in a pup. I don’t do them on dogs older than 14 weeks. And, thank you for the video. This is really helpful to show owners how to follow up after the ears are healed.
