Picked up a Chameleon Tiny Pro myself and its rather good fun

Hi Quentin. Great informative video. If you get the time a video showing the wired set up of these devices (Tiny non BLE) would be great. The github downloading, compiling and flashing would be most useful. My device is stuck in what i think is DFU mode and out of the box it would not read any cards (pressing B button) so not sure if the device is faulty (probably not) but would be good to be able to rule out and be able to update in the future. Noticed the videos on your Chanel with the lock picking. Is there any way I could contact you? Might be able to do some skill sharing. Been in the field of non destructive lock opening for about 20 years might be able to do some training!

can you show how to use the cameleon tiny/mini to copy cards with encrypted data on them ? i'd like to store all my rfid cards on here but a lot of them are encrypted in my country.

i dont believe you can. What you can do is to break the card with a proxmark and then dump the card there. You can then upload the dumps to the chameleon no issues at all ( assuming you have permission)

I'm lost, have the tiny pro and it's not showing up over Bluetooth. No BLE in menu, only AVR Firmware LUFA 151115 AVR-GCC 5.4.0

you cant connect the tiny pro via BLE ? you should be able to power the tiny pro on and then pick it up via the app ?

No, it doesn’t show up at all. Have the latest firmware. Installed it through the Windows GUI.

No, unfortunately not. I tried all different kinds of firmwares.

I just got mine and made A long press toggle field (antenna function) and since disconnecting cannot reconnect in the app even after deleting and reinstalling, even before this, the get UID functions in the read menu stopped working on the cards I was reading just minutes before. PLEASE HELP there is NO INFO ANYWHERE

hi its a known issue with the tiny pro you will have to flash manually from a linux env ( thats easiest)

Hi. My Chameleon mini RevG just arrived. First i make firmware update (using your tutorial). When connecting via USB and PC software i have: "[!] Firmware doesn't support DETECTION cmd -- mfkey32 key recovery is not possible [+] Success, found Chameleon Mini device on 'COM3' with Firmware RevG Official installed" Can't check it really doesn't works. Sorry for my english, hope You can understood me ;)

@@QuentynTaylor First i update via android app, then under windows (Dfu programmer). Flashed with Chameleon AVR Firmware 20200203 from github.com/RfidResearchGroup/ChameleonMini. In PC App (settings - FirmwareVersion) I have info "ChameleonMini RevG compiled at 2020-02-03 17:22:16..." Maybe this is only PC app bug? I have RevG from proxgrind

Today I tried MF classic 4k 7byte reader, but cant set 7 byte when chamelon is in MF_DETECTION mode (writing 7 bit UID failed). No keys catched. Later I put 1k 4 byte MF classic dump with unknown keys to chameleon, then tied via phone crack using extended-std.keys (chameleon in MF_detection mode). Chameleon catched all this keys from extended_std.keys. It seems detecion mode working, but only with 4 byte cards. Monday i will try real 1k 4byte reader. Emulate 7 byte card works ok, but not in detection mode

Checked with Mifare classic 1k 4byte reader. MF_Detection works ok, so "[!] Firmware doesn't support DETECTION cmd -- mfkey32 key recovery is not possible" it's a PC app bug. Maybe one day an update will come out and it will work with 7-byte readers.
