My question is you didn’t start at 80$ an hour and when I started doing some lawn care last summer I’d have to charge people 20 to 30$ a yard which barely covered cost of diesel in my truck or mower maintenance or fuel for my mowers. So what pricing to start at?
@UpFlip
@UpFlip 3 жыл бұрын
I think it depends on the location?
@aidancallen4382
@aidancallen4382 3 жыл бұрын
@Bassett Family How big are these yards? Do you weed whack and mow good? I’d be closer to 40-50 bucks for a decent sized neighborhood yard...especially with the price it costs to fill up our trucks being diesel. For 50 bucks you should be in and out quick while being able to edge the sidewalk and or driveway and sweep or leaf blow any shit left over.

Good video, but I think you should have asked him how he acquired his technical knowledge and how would he go about it, once his business started. Some people have gained many years of experience, so when they start their business it is a cake walk compared to a true newbie.

These videos didn’t say much. I’ve watched both videos and I still don’t even know what this kid does. What I do see though is he is getting a lot of relatives and/or friends to help him get his work. People he already seemed to know or friends of his friends. Which is not as hard to do vs someone who does it that comes from nothing. It’s like someone who has parents that have a tree business or construction business and they refer you to their customers for lawn care to help your business grow. So not really as hard to do vs someone who really did start with only a broom and a mower like he says.

I own a multiple 6 figure landscape company. No one helped me get customers. I grinded nonstop 12-15 hours a day 7 days a week to get to where I’m at now. It’s easy to grow a business this fast if you put in the work 24/7.

Russell jeffcoat Multiple 6 figure landscape company? No need to up sale to me. I’m not hating on you. I mean if you have a lot of friends and relatives who can help you more power to you. I’m just pointing out the obvious. You say all the right things but leave out the most important thing and that was the how. People want to know how you did it. You say you didn’t even advertise. So how does anyone know your in business initially? The only people who would know without advertising is your friends and your family. So that’s why I said what I said. Ain’t nothing wrong with it but don’t make it seem like it was really a broom and mower situation like some people really have done
