Wondering where this trailer was two months ago? Well, I caught that virus that's been going around the world for the last few years and was sick for a good portion of June. I tried to work on the trailer but as my symptoms worsened (Nothing major but MAN the brainfog was real) I couldn't continue working on it and had to rest up. I am much MUCH better now thankfully! As I looked back on what I had originally filmed, I wasn't happy with what I had so my crew and I went back and reshot a TON of stuff. What you're seeing is 90% completely new footage. Barely anything was recycled from the first draft, and I am much happier with the final trailer :D Thanks for the love and support! More stuff on the way!

Our server group moved to Fjoldur recently and good lord there should never be 12 megalodons close enough to aggro with each other but that was my first experience when trying to get Prime Fish Meat on my spino. Thank god KBD makes the jellies more chill or we'd never have gotten our first ocean tames.

I know the helicoprion has already been released for some time now, but this is still a solid trailer. I love Ark, but do feel that it’s oceans are very empty. It’s mainly just full sharks, mantas and ichthys, with other creatures relegated to more in depth places. I’d like more passive, large sea creatures to make it feel more alive. Like with a few other groups, I have my own list of aquatic creatures that I’ve wanted to see in game, mainly in official but seeing creatures like this in mods are good to.

I wish there were more passive creatures in ARK's ocean. Everything tries to kill you. That's what I like about Heli though, it's not aggressive thankfully!

So some interesting facts: Helicoprion is actually more closely related to chimaeras than sharks. These Helicoprion are a bigger than the actual animal, which current estimates put at 3 to 4 meters long, although one exceptionally large specimen is estimated at 7.5 meters long. It's possible Helicoprion could continue to grow even more in response to food availability and health. For a long time scientists didn't know where the tooth whorl, which is normally the only fossilized part of these fish, went. Theories from under the jaw, on the dorsal fin, one the snout and along the tail were all put forth. Some even thought the whorl could unfurl into a long whip like structure to snag prey from afar. It wasn't until an exquisite specimen that preserved the shape of the animal showed that the whorl was in the lower jaw, with the upper jaw being toothless. It's thought that earlier Helicoprion specialized in soft body prey, like squids, worms, and jellyfish. It would suck them into its mouth and let them get torn to bits as they were squeezed past the tooth whorl and the roof of the mouth. Studies in their jaw strength and bite force, though, show that it could easily rip through bone, expanding its diet to nearly everything but the armored placoderms.

Just wanted to say I love this mod I run it on all 5 of my servers and it's in my opinion the best done dino mod out there wild card is really sleeping on not offering you a very good pay check to come work for them but then again I would hate to see your creativity chained in any way not saying they would but rant aside keep up the great work and I'm excited to see the monarkys tame these dinos soon

Awesome job as always with these. Really like how the Helicoprion looks, the blue one with the spots reminds me of the level 40 Megalodon in JPB so it gives me fond memories. Design looks sick very nice stylization on it. F that poor dude that got sprayd and eaten by like 1/20th of all megalodons in the ocean. And the PaleoArk versions look awesome too.

Speaking of the Ammonites, Helena may not be as bright a bulb we thought she was… Why think that the ammonite does something beneficial for the other sea creatures when it’s bile can be used to make something that pisses creatures off? It seems obvious that the ammonite just squirts the bile onto you to make everything magically angry with you for no reason while the cephalopod makes its swift escape.
