This was brilliant. I respect Simon for asking uncomfortable questions that many journalists are scared to do. From a West Ham fan, you guys don’t know how good you’ve got it up on Tyneside with Eddie at the helm. Back him, and continue to do so even through tougher times, he’s taking you places. Do not treat him like our fans treated Moyes. I’d love to have Howe at my club, you are very lucky.
@F--B
@F--B 3 күн бұрын
I have no idea what you're basing this in, other than that he can answer questions in a composed manner. He has no experience at the top level of football. As for WHU, you were right to sack Moyes, he was taking you absolutely nowhere and more or less turned you into an ongoing joke. If you want Howe, you're welcome - but presumably your ambitions are different from ours.

I think the problem is, that he has improved us too fast, so people are way ahead in their expectations, myself included sometimes being dragged into that feeling for short periods of time, when we lose, because I'm so frustrated that Eddie is not rewarded already for his obvious hard work with the mixed material he has at his disposal. @@juliogeordio7358 Do you follow football? Changing a manager rarely has an impact, you may get a bounce for a few games but it will settle back to the mean. Plus this would cripple the club financially, a new manager will want his own players, we can't afford new players or not in the scale to reshape the squad. Just think logically and support the team, its not like we were thumped today. First half we could have scored 4 or 5, individual errors cost us and why would changing the manager have any effect on that?

After 0 xG against second-bottom Palace, Eddie should've been hauled over the coals - and tbh, I think he would've expected that / handled it. So fair play to Jordan for making this more challenging. Would've been absolute trash if it was just more arse-licking I love Eddie, I hope we can sort out our inability to play against a low block / rapid counter, and he gets some backing. I have so much respect for Eddie, sometimes I'm annoyed by the things he says about Arsenal when we play Newcastle, but he's a genuinely decent bloke and a decent manager. I hope he does well with Newcastle.

You show me an arsenal fan that doesn't cry about criticism and I'll show you someone who doesn't support arsenal. Shocking fan base renowned for crying and victim mentality

@@fargodavilleitnotd6729 not sure why you have to be so triggered, every manager says things in the heat of the moment. I'm not "crying", I've literally just said I hope he and Newcastle do well. How is that me crying? 😆

I had preconceptions about each of these guys, but you have to admit, what an excellent interview. Eddie is so much more emotional than I thought, he can just handle that and is measured, and although I've never really liked Simon Jordan, this interview and his questions were excellent.
