Thanks for the presentation, If I want to hold an upgrade of Grid software on Node2, how long I should? If the customer doesn't want to upgrade Node2 parallelly. In case of Node1 upgrade fails. Can I upgrade Grid software on Node2 later?

Yes please watch entire video for better understanding. It is rolling upgrade method using gridSetup.sh

Also If rdbms instance is also up and running i.e. for zero downtime then the above command will automatically do the things only on first node without affecting 2nd node and repeat the same on 2nd node while first node is up and running?

You need to upgrade the grid during the lean period. It get upgraded one node at a time

Hi Thanks for the detailed video. I have an query. I am trying to upgrade the GI from 12.1.0.2 to 19c on standalone but runcluvfy is failing with the below errors: runcluvfy.sh stage -pre crsinst -upgrade -rolling -src_crshome /u00/app/grid/1210 -dest_crshome /u00/app/grid/1930 -dest_version 19.0.0.0.0 -fixup -verbose PRVG-0712 : Cannot upgrade: Oracle Clusterware stack not running on this node. Verification cannot proceed Dry run also failing Can you suggest how to proceed?

As per recommendations from oracle you should always apply latest patches. If it is not available or not applied then you can proceed but there are possibility of issues during UPGRADATION. There is possibility of issues without any patches. But if you don't have patches you can take the risk.
