I started this hobby when I was a kid with one of my uncles. It took my mind away from family issues. It was total freedom from everything around me and I loved it. Through the years I would come back and touch on this passion. This love is one that we can not get away from. It's not rational with all we have to deal with, but it's very important to accept that feeling and embrace the hobby. I'm a chef and also a bartender/server. I want to cook but find that the lack of creativity limits those feelings and needs for individuality. So in comes a small rc vehichle. My RC cars. Abosolutley love that I can manage and maintain this little world just how I want to. It's not perfect but I believe it's absolutely imparetive that we all enjoy some moments in this life. I hope that you can and I know you will manage these physical alignments. I would love to meet up with you. We live in OKC downtownish. Don't know if you will ever see this. If you do. Send me a message.Thanks.

Before I purchased this same vehicle, I was looking into the slash with the sound kit. Still would have cost less than the UDR. What ultimately sold me on the UDR was the scale components. I'm very happy I went the route of the UDR rather than the Slash. This truck is a whole lot of fun, not to mention, even while it's heavier than the Slash, it's faster. I've put a lot of upgraded parts on it before it's first run as well as after the first run. It has aluminum trailing arms, aluminum upper links, aluminum servo mount, steel front driveshaft, aluminum upper a-arms, and aluminum lower a-arms. This RC is crazy fun, but I don't beat the crap out of it as I do my Revo 3.3. I have jumped it over my brothers head, he's 6'3" and it cleared him by at least 3 feet. That's about as hard as I bashed it. My Revo I've jumped double that height and at least 40 feet distance off road. I don't intend on using the UDR for anything more than high speed, mild rock/bumps terrain. I've used it in the snow and it gets incredibly heavy, probably 30 pounds if not more. I take care of my RCS the best I can but I'm sure not easy on them.
@TerraQuestRC5 жыл бұрын
UDR faster than Slash? Depends on what you have done to the Slash. Right now my Slash 4x4 on 3s is faster than my UDR on 6s with the high speed gear upgrade. Haven't stuck a gps on either one, but my Slash is about 5mph faster. Doesn't hold corners or bumps as well as the UDR though.
@SebastianLong5 жыл бұрын
@@TerraQuestRC Lol, you can make anything faster. I'm talking out of the box stock. I could just slap my Mamba Monster ESC in the UDR and run it on 8s, doesn't mean it's a good idea or going to make it handle better. I'm just talking, as I said, out of the box stock.

Nice job, those trailing arms look badass. Simple and functional upgrade. Me and my friends use the WD40 trick on our full size rigs. We spray the complete underside of our trucks before we go out wheeling. It really helps with keeping all the dirt and mud from sticking to the underside.
@TheRealRCSparks5 жыл бұрын

RCSparks Studio I buy the WD40 in the gallon jug and apply it with a compressed air sprayer. Cheaper and easier than buying the aerosol cans. It doesn’t keep the mud from sticking 100% but it sure makes it a lot easier to clean it off when your done ripping it up 👍

Hey Aaron. I've found that the reason why those arms break is due to the rear sway of the truck and due to the weak rear upper links. I changed the rear upper links to titanium and never broke another arm. My concern with the aluminum rear arms is that the break point pushes from the arm to the mounting point on the rear axel. Which would be worse to replace. I found the rear upper titanium links on eBay.

The only thing that would change where I buy something online, is transport costs. Because, if it is cheaper, to get the same quality from over seas, I would not pay more, for not necessarily better quality. It's also a catch 22. Because on one hand, things are that cheap for arguable reasons, but many depend on the wage they get paid for that cheaper product. So in that sense, I would prefer to buy from overseas and help more families. But I digress. Thank you for everything, and I hope you have many more good days ☺️

Nice to see it again I thought you had given it away, I started by just the trailing arm replacement, then the front upper and lower arms, front rear C hubs, swaybar links and canterlevers and the list goes on. Have you checked the lower shock seal caps, mine kept working loose an even when tight they leaked so I have replaced them with alloy and a different type of seal job done, the steering assembly got too much play after a while so I replaced it, and the list goes on alloy diff's axels, MIP rear Super Shafty, Hot Racing front CVD/UJ's kept losing pins in the stock ones. I could go on but it would probably send you off to sleep. Reference your back, I have been on a slow release Morphine tablets for some time now and it has given me a lot of relief from pain, it's not completely gone but has made my life a little better, ask your GP, yes it is addictive but hey I am never coming off it anyway, I take just enough that I have some relief but keep my driving licence and not sit in a corner singing the wheels on my bus, you get the idea I hope anything that will is a bonus I take 60mg's when I wake up and the same just after my tea twelve hours apart, I also have 10mg for when the pain exceeds an acceptable if I have over done it during the day.

I am not a fan of Electric RC's but the UDR (and Redcat Gen 8) might end up in my collection. I use motorcycle plastics cleaner (SC1) on all of my RC parts, we get that same super fine dust, and it keeps my plasics and aluminum very clean. Those trailing arms look good, your right aluminum in certain areas can make a RC much better, but to much of it can ruin a RC. Glad to hear you had a good day, I wish they were more frequent, but we take what we can get. I have found Lactose Free milk only occasionally bothers me, like I said when it comes to what to eat it changes (for me at least) one day I can eat a big cheeseburger, and not be running for the bathroom every 30 min, I might even go a day without making that trip. Then a month later its the complete oppposite

I just wanted to drop some positive vibes your way and say keeping having fun and don't let the flares get you down. Also I heard that 200g of gold can be very therapeutic! Shouldn't be too much of a problem for a bunch a pro's like you and that new cut you guys have.
