You’re not getting any extra horsepower by adding that throttle body. I don’t know what sales pitch they sold you on, but without a CAI and tune to compensate for the extra air you’re really not doing anything. For the money you spend on a tb it’s just not worth 5 - 10 HP paper gains. We had our motor built and stayed away from adding a throttle body because it wasn’t necessary. If you want more power you need a tune. I would NEVER recommend anyone doing this. Don’t just add a throttle body without first consulting a shop like HHP about what you’re looking to gain.

Tune is definitely a must after the TB. But you can’t beat the price of a TB it’s a really cheap mod that’s gonna give you some additional HP, you won’t find anything else in the $300 range that’s gonna give you free horsepower. I would personally recommend getting CAI, Ported TB & Tune all together to really see the difference in power, that’s what I did to my SRT, just buy the whole package.

Probably the cheapest mod for the price 😂😂

@@lazarogonzalez5433 it’s not worth the money. You get no additional HP gains you’ll ever notice on or off the track. A TB is for people that like to tell others they have “x” horsepower now after adding one, but can’t even drop a second off their 1/4 mile times. I had my motor built by HHP. It’s over 1000 HP. I asked the best in the business during the build if adding a larger tb was worth it. The answer was a resounding no. I have a ported snout also, and we made 880 wheel without wasting more money on a tb. Seriously a waste of money when adding power per dollars.

So what is the actual increase in performance specs? Did you dyno?
@StraightSRT83 жыл бұрын
No I didn't Dyno. Dyno runs are expensive and vary run to run. The gains aren't insane but it's something you can feel. For $200-$300 you can't go wrong.
