Why do you connect the motor directly to the battery instead of the BMS/Protection Board? By doing so you loose the under voltage protection for the battery

Maybe the BMS has a low discharge current or a low burst output current, which will activate the auto cut off function of the bms, when the motorstarts up. Some esc have a battery low voltage indication in the form of a continous beep. The bms here is simply for charging and balancing.
