Great video as usual. Do you have any clue about such an upgrade on grainfather g30 ?
@DavidHeathHomebrew7 ай бұрын
If you want to keep it neat on the G30 then you really need to stay with the same pump size due to how the pump is housed. Grainfather have a PDF guide on how to replace the pump though that you can be sent if you contact their customer services.

Thanks for the info David! People have often modified the tubing under the Brewzilla to go to the outlet before the pump. Do you think this modification is useful?

Great video. The pump on my Brewmonk 30l sometimes clogs up. Wanted to upgrade but don't know what pump to buy.

I would suggest talking to Brouwland about your options, they are the supplier 🍻🍻🍻

I don't have a all in one brew system but when I set up my brewery i installed a pump. That way I can recirculate my mash and keep my mash temp steady.

Ok great. Yes a pump is very standard these days. 🍻🍻🍻

I've heard people mention that they had metal pieces from manufacturing stuck in their pump or hoses, which added to malt or protein build up, finally clogging the pump or hoses. I haven't checked my own 65L G4 pump or hoses, but do experience a lot of clogging when cleaning out the leftovers of a brew. Not sure if these two things are related, but if it is a good idea to check the pump or hoses when performing the upgrade, then it would be nice to know about this, and how to effectively check those. Thanks otherwise for yet another video.

Thanks Christian. Ive never heard that personally and I handle returns cases as part of my job, so I can tell you that must be very rare. All pumps can clog though, its the nature of the beast.

I have looked on google and the usual websites I use to buy my goods but I can't for the life of me find the 25W pump in the UK as a upgrade to my 35L Gen4. Do you or any of the people here know where I can get one? Thanks for yet another informative and great video, keep them coming. 😁

In the UK the following retailers can assist you, though it may mean contacting them to get them to order it in:- Angel Homebrew, Brew keg tap, Malt miller.

Hi David. Just curious the pump that was in the cover photo, the green one, is that out of a Grainfather Glycol chiller?
@DavidHeathHomebrew7 ай бұрын
No, this is a green coloured version of the pump that I installed in this video.

Thanks David, I found the original Brewzilla 35L pump to be insufficient for the official Kegland counterflow chiller, so I really liked this video. However I also read that these pumps are not supposed to handle boiling wort? How do you use them in a counterflow setup if not with boiling wort to sanitise your counterflow chiller? Would it make sense to maybe consider an external pump instead for this? I´d rather use the same internal pump of course (less parts to clean, less losses) but the temperature limitation has me worried a bit.

I have not had any issues personally. Mine has been used weekly for the most part ever since the time of making this video.

I just got a Brew Monk system and in that system according to brouwland you should not use the pump when liquids are above 75C. I am assuming it is due to the pump that can't support it. Soo I have been wondering of replacing the pump with a brewferm pump. Have you been using the Brew Monk with 100C liquids or any advice here?
@DavidHeathHomebrew7 ай бұрын
Some pumps are sensitive to temperature, though ive not had that issue on the BM personally yet.

Nice upgrade! Do you know where to order that pump from here in Norway? The ones I have found got a different pump house.
@DavidHeathHomebrew7 ай бұрын
If you want that specific pump then the company I work for olbrygging.no sell it but so do others too.
@Trainingyo7 ай бұрын
@@DavidHeathHomebrew The ones I’ve found on the different stores including olbrygging got screw threads where you install the hoses. At least on the picture it shows. I think there might be a problem with leaks then.

Hm, are you sure there's enough space in the Brewzilla 35-liters? Kegland themself say "3. Upgrade to a 25 watt pump (on the outside of the BrewZilla 35L, or if you want to modify the 65L BrewZilla it can fit it underneath)"

What punp would you reccomend as an upgrade for the Brewzilla Gen 4 35L?

Actually the 35L and 65L use the same original pump, so this one is the upgrade for both.

@@DavidHeathHomebrew Hi David, would you find this upgrade overkill for the 35L version?
@DavidHeathHomebrew4 ай бұрын
Actually both the 35 and 65 have the same standard pump. So its handy for either if you want more power for use outside of the mash. For the mash you will need to dial it down for both units.
@davec49557 ай бұрын
I would imagine it's easier on the 65 lt than the 35 lt . I might consider it if I ever do have a problem with my pump.

@@DavidHeathHomebrew Hi David I had trouble finding this pump in The Netherlands, finally found it but the shop says it wont fit, do you know how I can verify? did you contact Kegland about this since you have the 65L?
@DavidHeathHomebrew11 күн бұрын
It has been my understanding that it would fit but its tight.
@1986RBRT11 күн бұрын
Thanks for confirming! After some ponderong I think it will fit if I would reconfigure the hoses for the tap bypass the pump, page 15 of the manual. Then you have more space for a longer pump
